coffee? I used to and had to lay off the coffee. Sometimes eating too much food caused it too. You know, like after a holiday feast.

Actually coffee doesn't bother me nearly as much as water does. It is the weirdest thing, my biggest problems come from water and cirus.

Yeah, oranges and too many tomatoes also cause the acid to raise in me too. That's odd that water would do that to you. I've come to find out though that basic water is acidic in nature. If you put a drop of lemon or lime in it, that causes the water to become more alkaline which is better for the body. Have you ever tried that? I know you mentioned citrus being a problem, but something about lemon and limes are different than other citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruit, pineapple, or tomatoes even. I'd be curious to know if putting a bit of lemon or lime in your water made it drinkable to you. Can you drink Teas?

I haven't tried the lemon in water. I will though. Tomato products are also a big problem.

It is pretty serious to have it consistantly, because it starts to damage your asophogas (sp?)...throat. I was sharing with another person that posted earlier that I've been reading up on foods that are actually acid ash based and foods that are alkaline based. I've started to experiment on myself with the more alkaline foods and I'm finding I don't get the acid reflux anything like I used to. If I stray and eat more acid based foods...it comes back.
If you'd like a copy of my list of foods, I'd love to share it with you. It amazes me how some of the foods I swore were acidic and they were actually more alkaline based. Like lemon & lime.

Tums actually make me throw up and gag. I've been reading up on foods that are actually acid ash based and foods that are alkaline based. I've been experimenting on myself with the more alkaline foods and I'm finding I don't get the acid reflux anything like I used to. If I stray and eat more acid based foods...it comes back.
