making your own website

August 1, 2008 10:49am CST
I have recently started making handbags with my friend and selling them to shops but we would like to be able to advertise our bags in the internet with our own website. Neither of us are that great at IT, is there an easy and cheap (preferably free!) way of making our own website for this? I know some of you clever mylotters out there will be able to answer this question and am grateful in advance for any advice you can give! Big love

not sure if you've solved this problem or not, but i think the easiest way is to find a free template you like and then use microsoft front page, it is a what you see is what you get type of editor, i found it very simple to use

there are actually many free websites in the cyberspace at this times, and the choices depends on your preference and likes. i would suggest that you go to a website that is user friendly (though a lot are) that is easy to manipulate and no need of technical knowledge. at first i used blogspot but due to some preference that i haven't found with them, i switched to weebly and i been doing well with it and like it so far. the only disadvantage of free website is that you cannot customize your own templates (most often) and some of the widgets and the things you want to add. if you have extra $6.95 in your pocket, it would be wise to invest for a domain of your choice and a customized email add. what is $6.95 to invest in a year for easy manipulation of your own website and it is personalized? well, it all depends on your likes and preference but if in case you want to check it out then the website in my profile is a living proof that we pay $6.95/annum. but if you just want to try it yourself for free then you can go to weebly and it has a lot of freebies to work around too. anyway, if you need some help regarding weebly, i'll be around to assist in whatever i can.
