Why is eating out "fun"?

When I think of the word fun..I think of riding a roller coaster, jet skiing, or sliding down a water slide. The word fun has so many different meaning to so many different people but I think something we can all relate to is eating out. When it is Friday or Saturday and you just get off work you are excited to go home, get your boyfriend or your wife or your family or a large group of friends together and just go out to eat. Whether it's the same old country cookin kitchen you go to every night or the newest italian spot in town. Eating out is fun. Why is stuffing your face at a table in front of strangers "FUN". Do you think eating out is fun like I do?

Oh yeah, eating out is fun. Number one, you do not have to cook it and clean up afterwards. There are so many kinds of restaurants to choose from and everyone is happy and it makes for such a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The last time I ate out was for my husband's birthday, and his two sons and their wives were there. We laughed and talked and shared our dishes.

Yes its fun. Well perhaps the fun thing about it is not the part of stuffing your face with food (though that is a pretty fun thing to do) but the fun part is being there with your special someone and/or family and/or friends. Their company always make a big difference when eating a meal either at home or outside. But then again the real reason why eating out may be considered fun is because your definition of fun is being able to satisfy yourself. :)

mooner hi breaking bread with anyone is a social thing, and is
enjoyable for everyone concerned,why it is being social and friendly, we all have to eat so why not do it together. I would not think of it as stuffing your facein front of strangers, but as enjoying friends and family and eating at the same time, and woud not think about strangers as they will sure not be thinking about you.

It's Fun To me, Because I don't have to stand on my feet in a hot kitchen cooking.
It's very nice to have someone wait on me for a change.
I love the ambiance, the music if they have some the sweet tea, the salads and oh yeah the bread.
That's my weakness, so whether your at an Italian,Mexican,Chinese,Country, or fast food, I love it.
I love gathering with all my family to eat, it's good sometimes that's the only time we get to see each other.

I like to eat, especially if people which i'm takin's out enjoy the food i offers to them :D Large of group will be much more fun, it gives me feel like i can free my all day stress through out of my body ^_^

Its a social thing to go and eat out. I would thing everybody enjoys it because we are with our friends and family in a different place (other than the dining table) and we know how each one of us acts and behaves which I beleive makes it all the more fun.
We can also get to chat about all the events that have gone on throughout the day with your loved ones and usually everyone seems to enjoy themselves.
