I used to be a speaker until i met someone who speaks more than i do. haha :) while in my current work, i must be a speaker cause i am a teacher, but i encourage students to talk, yet chinese students would rather to be listeners, they are used to that. During my previous work, i prefer to be listener. cause once i was told that the best salesman in the world must be a good listener ! i quite agree with that. so, are you ...?

i can be both, it all depends on the situation im in, for example if im with a group of freinds that are intrested in politics but dont know much about it then i talk for hours lol most of the time they even ask me to do a long speach as they say they learn alot from me lol but thats debateable lol But if im with some people that know alot about politics then i tend to listen more as i want to learn so much from them i dont see the point in me talking lol

that's right, it depends. when friends need to hear your voice, advice, we become a speaker. otherwise, they may feel dismayed. thanks for response. good day.

To tell you the truth I am a little of both. I try to speak when it is called for but I think that listening is so much more important. I always appreciate it when people listen to what I say especially if I find it to be important. We all want people to care about what we have to say. I try not to interrupt people during a conversation because it can be ignorant and they won't appreciate it. I want to become a better listener over all.

yeah, you are right, to listen carefully also shows our respect to people. there are some people keep talking all the time, they are self-centered, and all they need is a good listener.

I used to be the listener, but now it just depends on the person I'm having a conversation with. Before, if I met somebody and is kinda forced to talk to that person coz we're sitting next to each other and I have absolutely nothing to say to that person and vice versa then I just keep quiet. But now, if I feel that the person doesn't know what they can talk to me about, I usually try to think of some sort of topic that might interest them.. I guess I've changed in a way..
