I know this one will get some raises. Do you think fathers should have the same rigts as mothers? Well let me explain, i have been in a custody fight for over a year with a man who has a long criminal record, he likes to beat and control women, why should he have my 3 year old daughter. I am not a drug addict or an unfit mother, he has been arrest for everything from domestic violence to duis, has several restraining orders, but still he thinks hes a better parent. Please, don't get me wrong I believe in fathers rights, when they deserve it. If a mother carries a chld, gives birth to it and is able to take care of it mentally and is not a drug addict or unfit mother, why should they lose ther child to a man who did nothing but donate 5mins and some swimmers. Ok again please don't get me wrong there are men who have been there for there kids, just not this one.

If he pays child support then he has every right as the mother. If he doesn't then that is another story. One thing the United States doesn't care about is who is going to be the parents. He doesn't sound like a good choice for a partner. Did he have the record before you decided to have the child with him? If so why would you choose to breed with him?

Maybe the court can help him. Make him go to anger management classes and AA meetings. It is still your daughter's father. And for that reason alone you should try to help him.

I believe every case should be judged on its own merrit, your case doesn't sound fair to me and it should be corrected in some way, I am a female and i must be honest in many cases i think the fathers get a raw deal but in your case it doesn't seem right, i hope things are fixed up for you...
