I've got an innerspring mattress, as well. It's getting to the point where we've started to think about replacing it, but we'll put that off as long as this one is still comfortable. We have completely different tastes in mattresses, so I really don't look forward to going mattress shopping.

It's 10 years old and starting to sag a bit, so it's not completely good! It's more of a hint that we need to start looking around for a new one and watching sales and that sort of thing. The Sleep Number is definitely out! Those things are too rich for my budget! We'll probably end up getting two twin mattresses and putting a bridger inbetween them so that we both get what we like, don't have to spend a ton of money, and can use the boxsprings we've got. Pleasant dreams to you, too.

if yours is still good then there's no reason to get a new one. but you have different tastes in mattresses? that will not be easy. maybe the number bed would solve that. each side can be set to it's own number. something to go on. and i don't blame you for not looking forward to shopping for a new one. for now...pleasant dreams.

My mattress is hmm I don't really what's inside it. Maybe some springs because it is quite thick. It is around 8 inches thick and has a rectangular square shape. It is not as soft as the other mattresses that are on sale. But I think my mattress is quite strong because I never had to change it because it did not change it's color, smell and shape.

Mine is gently moulded into my shape, where my lovley little body lays (lol)there is a slight indentation, just the merest hint that ive been lain there. The mattress is about five years old, just a run of the mill matress, nothing extraordinary about it!Its not an Airsprung or a Slumberland, its just my own comfy little nest.

Currently I sleep on a chiropractors special, I have to take 9 Advil just to be able to get out of bed. Its a thin plastic mattress on a bunk bed. By my calculations I'm 32 years past sleeping on one of these planks of wood. I used to have a great mattress but we moved and sold it, sniff sniff, what I long for is a good matress that I can feel rested on.

I'm like you, I really need a new mattress but I can not afford one either. I have had this mattress for about eight years. It was not new, it was my husband's grandmother, but it was in better shape than the one I replaced I want a theaputic mattress, when I wake up my body hurts so bad, and I know it has to be because of the mattress.

My mattress is in horrible shape! I already have back problems and my mattress doesn't help one bit! my mattress is so sunken in that I actually put a blanket under it in the middle to help hold it up. It didn't really help all that much though. I am trying to get a new one, but I just can't afford it. I just bought a fouton at a yard sale though, so I am probably going to start sleeping on that. Uggh! It's so horrible.

Since I'm renovating my place (between doing everything else) my mattress looks like a large storage shelf. My bed has been on the sofa--which looks like a fat lady has been sleeping on it for way too many nights with the reason being that a fat lady HAS been sleeping on it for way too many nights! LOL

Oh Greenglitterturtle, Haha, all this time I thought your name was Green Little Turtle, until I just started to type it and noticed the difference. Lol. Anyway, I had a mattress that was my PARENTS since they got married...and I used it until I was 40 years old!!!! I absolutely loved that mattress. AND I could not afford a new one anyway.... BUT I had back trouble that kept getting worse and worse. Finally in October of 2005, my back was so bad I could hardly do anything. I was going to the Chiropractor almost every day. I borrowed money from my mother and bought a brand new mattress in November of 2005. My back has not hurt since then!! I love my new mattress. It has a comfy padded top. AND I bought a comfy padded mattress pad for on top of it. So it is really nice!
