Which TV shows do you watch with your sweetheart?

Which shows do you watch with your spouse or significant other? Do you enjoy TV more when you're watching it with someone you love? I love watching Monk! But I can't watch it by myself. Don't get me wrong. It's a funny show. But when I watch Monk by myself, all I see are Monk's peculiarities and weirdness. For some reason I miss all the punch lines. It's more annoying than anything. However, when my spouse is in the room watching Monk with me, suddenly Monk turns into the most hilarious show on Earth! He laughs at stuff. And I laugh. It's really enjoyable. I like seeing him happy. And that makes me happy. And that makes the show more enjoyable. I can't explain it, really. It's nice to be able to laugh with someone else.

We love to watch House and Lost. House is so funny when he pretends to not care and as for Lost, we like making theories on what the ISLAND really is, whether they are in purgatory, whether in another dimension, and what will happen to the characters, whether that is the real future or an alternative future. There are shows my husband likes and I do not, but those two are ones we both love. OH we love all the CSI shows, but I like the funny ones - like the one when the mother=in=law got killed at the wedding, and the one which all the lab rats were playing a game, and the ones in which the corpses said how they got killed.

I missed those shows! I don't get to see the CSI show much since we got rid of cable and our local reception is so unclear. Well, I'll just have to rent the episodes from Netflix or watch them online!

Hello dear beauty queen. Just a few days ago, my sweetheart and I watched South Korean TV plays about love. It seems that Korean movies and TV series have been very popular in China for years. The last Korean TV play we watched is Slim Lady about the love between a slim, attractive and beautiful air-hostess and a poor young man. I love the TV play very much and love the happy ending of it. I am glad to have watched some TV plays during this summer vacation because I don't watch any TV plays while staying at school. I love to watch plays with my sweetheart. Thank you for your discussion.

My husband and I actually don't get to watch much tv together. I sometimes will watch wrestling with him. And I've started getting into watching football so I'm hoping we'll have that soon. I like to watch the half hour comedies and stuff like that. He likes them too but till we eat supper and get the kids in bed its time for them to start but he has to go get his stuff ready for work the next day and then as soon as he sits down he falls asleep. Its been hard on our relationship that he falls asleep all the time and he isn't doing anything to change it which upsets me. Sorry, off topic lol. So basically wrestling and football.

My sweetie is always getting tired too and sleeping at odd hours. He's an insomniac and rarely sleeps like a regular person. He might get four or five hours sleep and then wakes up and is good for the day. That means if he falls asleep at eight pm, he'll sleep till just past midnight and then be up all the next day and that is pretty bad for his health. I blame it on his job. He has to work at night. Night people always have weird sleeping patterns.

There are loads of programmes that we watch together, we watch Ghost Whisperer, Most Haunted, Ghosthunters and loads of other things. Funnily enough though, if he is not here then I will not watch them and he is the same if I am not in the room he will not watch it either. It is like it is not the same if we do not watch them together!

We feel the same way about our shows. In the US, there's a show called Psyche, which is pretty funny. And he won't watch it without me. We used to watch Stargate together, but one day I caught him watching the DVD by himself. I felt crushed! That was our show! He wasn't supposed to be enjoying himself without me. That's when we adopted Monk.

I am not the biggest fan of tv. Hubby really enjoys watching it. If I am alone at home, the tv is one of the things that won't be turned on. As soon as he gets home, hubby turns the tv on . :) I do however enjoy sitting by him and watching some shows - and I do love Monk:) Sometimes if the show doesn't really interests me - hubby loves to watch war documentaries and movies , I just sit in the sofa with him, turn on the little reading light and read a book. But with him most shows seems more interesting and fun somehow:)

My hubby and I love reality tv. We always watch them together, so when I miss something, he fills me in. We also love to watch Law and Order. This is what we look for when there is nothing on tv. There are usually always Law and Order reruns.

That's really funny that having someone else there changes the things that you notice about the programme. I like Monk too, it used to be on here for a while. My husband and I have some similar tastes and some very different tastes in TV. But the programmes that we have in common are Lost, Dr Who and Have I got News for You? (a topical and very funny British celebrity entertainment quiz - although my description perhaps makes it sound a bit horrendous, lol!) So these are the programmes that we watch together.

We are watching mostly the local channels here in our country. Most of it were in action theme and you are right it is more enjoying to watch your favorite with your love one. We even find it enjoying when we are watching a tv show with our baby cause she even copy some of the actors actions.

aw that's so sweet =) The only show we really watch together is Hero's. Mostly because I don't watch that much tv and we have different taste, however we have discovered that we both like Chuck and House so those may be getting added to the list of shows we watch together once he returns home :D I'm hoping for that since he usually turns the tv on before sleep and picks a channel and I just watch what he is watching just to cuddle with him and all that stuff lol.

I don't have a TV in Canada bease I'm never at home eough to bother to pay for cable. I don' ave the iternet at home either. It's cheaper to sped the day a the coffee shop. In the USA, however, where we have our other home, here is no place to go. We live in he middle of nowhere. We do have a TV, and we like to watch the documentaries on MSNBC.

We watch just about any show together. The only exception is that my wife will not watch Battlestar Galactica or Flash Gordon with me nut I will watch her ghost shows with her that I really do not care for. It is interesting how you look at Monk differently when you are alone. You become more critical instead of enjoying the humor in the way he acts.

Yes, that's it! I'm more critical or analytical! It's so true. I wish that I could enjoy comedy when I'm alone. But I do love watching science fiction and drama all by myself. I can get wrapped up in the story lines.

We watch Bones, CSI, cooking shows and some Sci-Fi shows together. We mostly watch those on our pc's. We watch movies on our TV (DVD's) and most of those are ones that we both really like so we make a night of it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

We do DVDs a lot too! Lots of fun watching several episodes in a row with no commercials. Helps you see how the plot line is going to play out better than when you have to wait a couple weeks in between episodes.

Hey beautyqueen Whenever we do watch Tv together, it will be CSI, Burn Notice, Ghost hunters. but he will not sit down and watch Army Wife's. anything that has to do with Lifetime, he will leave me and go to another room. I can understand about Monk, he just get to me, when I see him on the commericals. When JAG used to come out in the evening he would watch and I walk out of the room. Now we both watch it, We also both the first 4 series. I love watching JAG, even the re-runs. We use to have a movie marathon and watch all kinds of movies. We first start with, Twister, Juarassic park 1,2,3. Armengadon, Sandlot, The Goondies. (I just hope I spell all this right) too lazy to look up the correct spelling. have a great day.

hi BQ... My husband works in the evening so we get to watch tv together only in the morning until before lunch time where he will be sleeping the rest of the afternoon.. The shows we usually watch together are reruns of CSI all versions (because it's a prime time series), because we both like solving crimes, and pretending we're one of those crime busters and guessing who dunnit and how it was done.. Another is the morning news. We get to discuss what is happening in our country and sometimes have a debate on which is right and wrong, whatever the topic is...We both love discussions and sometimes we end up fighting because we are trying to beat one another...But when all discussions are over, we're back to normal and hug each other while saying "it was a good discussion, hon"..This way, we not only get to interact, say our piece or share our thoughts and some might say it's a weird kind of bonding, but it's the only time, apart from posting here, that I get to use my brains in an intellectual kind of way

hey BQ, why don't you try it sometimes? If he doesn't like to make the first hug, then you start it..Maybe it will lessen the pains you both feel after a heated argument..
