I made a black raspberry peach pie the other night. I picked the berries and the peaches out of the yard just before starting to make the pie. It turned out yummy! When was the last time you had a nice piece of fresh homemade pie? Have you made a pie or any other desert out of fruit from your yard recently? What was it?

That sounds delicious...there's nothing like fresh homegrown produce. I recently made shortcakes topped with berries from my mother-in-law's yard. I can't wait to get some peaches from my parents...their trees are loaded down with them but they're not quite ripe yet. I love peach crisp, cobbler, pie....my mouth is watering. :-p

I normally do cobbler, but this time I chose pie. I love food from the garden. Not too many of our peaches were ripe yet. I need to keep a close eye on them though.

Fresh pie! Oh, I've poured some stuff in a crust with my daughter, but that's really just pretending to bake a pie, I think. :)

Then yes, I would say that is just pretending to cook.

I don't grow anything in my backyard unfortunately. If I did I would grow a cherry tree. I like cherry pie.

I don't think I've ever had raspberry peach pie, but now I'm going to be on the lookout for it! It sounds like the best thing I've never had. I can't remember the last time I had a homemade pie, and I don't think it was made from any things grown outside in anyone's yard. My Aunt Melba made squash cake a couple weeks ago when I went to see her, but I was too full from dinner to try it. Everyone raved about it, which made me a little disappointed I didn't try it. She grows her own squash, tomatoes, and black eyed peas.

The last time I had a piece of fresh homemade pie- yesterday! I picked a ton of cherries out of a friend's back yard, and made fresh from scratch cherry pies and tarts. SO GOOD! i should go have another piece now :P

Last time I had homeade pie my sister in law made it. I believe it was caramel apple. I have no fruit trees in my yard. So it isn't a habit I have. Maybe my sis in law will make another pie soon.

Yummy Apple Pie! I am going to have to make a few apple pies when the apples on our tree are ready to be picked. I would say around Halloween sometime judging by how they look now.

Gee, I'm not that ambitious. I have no fruit trees in my yard. I planted a blueberry bush this year and was hoping for blueberries in a couple of years but it doesnt look like it's doing too well. It's been pretty dry around here this year and I dont know if it's gonna make it.

Poor blueberry bush. That reminds me. I have to go get the rest of the blackberries off the bush before the birds do.
