What is your mode of transportation? I am using motorcycle everyday to travel from home to work and vice versa. I find it fast and easy. I even save money and time though the oil prices were rising. Though riding a motorcycle has lots of pros and cons one is it is prone to accident. So be careful riding a motorcycle!

I do ride a motorcycle too. And it's true, we may have the advantage of easy and fast travel but we, bike riders, are more prone to accident.

Yeah I do pray but I don't pray that God may keep me safe, but to prepare my heart for whatever things that might happen to me. I also pray that He keeps my family's hearts ready for the worst.

In my country I use air conditioned bus, fx and cabs. haha! Coz I want to look nice after riding those Public utility vehicles. Coz if you ride ordinary PUVs here well you'll just inhale almost all of the pollution coming from those different mufflers around, my face would be too oily, and I could feel my skin so sticky. I don't like motorcycles, everyday tons of accidents on the road involving motorcycles and when I 'm assign as an ER nurse, I could see those broken bones, skin peeled off and etc due to motorcycle accident. So I prefer riding my own vehicle or air conditioned PUVs. Though be careful!

I agree that money can be saved on petrol and oil traveling to work and back, since traffic isn't really a factor, very little stopping an starting as with motor cars. What I do not necessarily agree with is that bikes are more prone to accidents. It depends on the rider. Some guys have absolutely no fear whatsoever and 'tear' through traffic at horrific speeds and virtually live on the edge. I'm not saying they should never 'open' up a bit to get in front of slower traffic, or just to feel a bit of the bike's power, conditions permitting, but clearly there is a difference between sensible riding and and being simply stupid!

I agree there are really some bikers who have no fear and they think as they are the lord of the roads.

After being away from riding for quite some time, I am back in it for the same reason. The fuel prices made it easy to decide whether or not to ride again. And you are also right about another thing; the more you ride, the more you increase your chances for an accident. I do think about that quite a bit when I swing my leg on to the seat. I hope it doesn't work to my detriment.

i also use motorcycle to go to work. it is the only vehicle i have. well i know ridding motorcycle is more dangerous than driving car. i have already crashed my bike three times . two of them is because i was sleepy when i was riding it. i should be more careful.

I use my car as a primary mode of transportation. But really, at the moment, it is turning out to be a painful and money consuming experience due to the hikes in petrol prices :S . Nonetheless, I am still not convince yet to use motorcycles since as you yourself have mentioned that they can be very unsafe and are really accidents in the making. I believe public transportation should be invested heavily by the governments of respected countries, in my humble opinion. medicguy

Yeah it is not safe but a rider must know to take necessary precautions. Even other vehicles are not always safe too. Though I respect your side.

I too prefer motorcycle as my mode of transportation. But i can't really take it for distances longer than say 5km because of my sensitivity to sunrays. So i prefer public transport like bus for short distance travel and prefer train for long distance travel.

I usually ride on a jeepney. I used to wake up early most of the time because I live away from the main city. I can also save a lot when I do this. Because I could have not ride a lot of jeepneys then. I usually travel 30minutes to 1hour just to go somewhere like church, school, malls, and many more. Maybe if I'll know how to ride on a motorcycle like you, I could transport to those establishments I have mention in just less minutes or hour than the usual.
