The little rat. I can't believe he peed in my BIRKENSTOCK! My favorite pair of birkies! I washed it out but he is in the doghouse for sure today! this was my little dog the mini daschound. He was forgotten in my room this morning and instead of peeing on the pee pad that is down in my room he christianed my birkie sandal!

OMG! That would totally tick me off! I LOVE my Birkenstocks! NO ONE touches my birkies, and I mean no one! He'd be in big, big trouble if he were my dog, that's for sure!

Oh my ! That sucks ! I finally just got my puppy trained last year and went through all that . I hate all that spraying and scrubbing . Actually , my parents are staying with me now and they brought their little yorkie and 3 of the puppies it had . My house is a mess and I am going crazy ! once they leave steaming and bleachig . Pups can be such a pain , but if you work with them they do learn . You should see the pups also have been chewing my sofa, end table , and shoes . I tried to talk with my parents but these are their babies . LOl. Ugg !!

Well my pup is 7 years old but he was forgotten and left in thebedroom with the door shut. also miniature daschounds are one of the hardest pups to get trained.

Oh the darned little dog-rat!!! Pets do stuff like that. Last week my husband's cat hocked up a hairball right where he ex-wife's dog likes to sleep. haha We weren't too mad at Mysti for that one, because Pebbles had it a long ime coming, and Mysti was just getting even. haha

Heheheeee! At least he didn't choose to use your pillow :-) I guess your sandal smelled of you, so in doggie terms it was a far more enticing place to use than where he was supposed to.

oh yes, the temper of of mini doxie! I have had three and they have all had little temper tantrums. I love my birks as well but if I leave my doxie unattended with my shoes then I figure its my own fault! How long can you really stay mad once you look in those eyes? Those dark brown, watery eyes??!! Dachshunds are particular, peculiar, habit forming little dogs and I do not think I will ever be without atleast one in my home! If you've never had a doxie, I suggest you read up on them, their temperament, peculiarities and ask your vet about their experiences with them. They can be little terrors, but with a lot of love and patience, your little guy may just end up being the best dog you've ever had :)

We have had him since he was able to leave his mother and he is 7 years old now. We had a female too at one point but now it is just the little guy. And yes they are peculiar and have quirks.
