I am a big fan of the Olympics. I don't want to miss the games and I have started to watch it when I was a little child. For the past Olympics, they are all wonderful but Beijing Olympics is much more meaningful for me and I am so proud of it because it's held in my country. The open ceremony is just so fabulous The fireworks had some shapes such as the 29 footsteps walking to the gymnasium and the fireworks of the smiling faces shapes. 2008 umbrellas with smiling kids are wonderful. The procedure of painting is a creative idea. I watched all the parts including the sportsmen walking to the gymnasium from 204 countries and areas. I noticed that the Swedish clothes style is designed like the Traditional Chinese clothes style and it's lovely to see it. I especially feel moved to see how the Olympics flare light up. That's a wonderful moment because it also lights up our dreams

me too !! i dont miss any of the opening ceremony of the olympics.. always waiting to see how the host country will try to 'outdo' the previous hosts... i think a lot of viewers were really tricked into thinking that you had people 'walking on the globe'(when they were actually hooked on wires).. but that was really beautiful... i also enjoyed watching the 'wushu' performance... that was indeed very, very graceful - i was really amazed on how synchronized they were... everyone in the same step all the way... amazing !!

It was the best opening ceremony I have ever seen! I love that All of the fantastic effects withe blocks were done by men, not machines.I was great to see little man, the little hero of the earthquake, and Yao walk in together waving the flags. And the way the torch was lit was fantastic.

The blocks are making the Chinese word. And this word means peace. It expresses our feelings. And I am glad to know that you know that little hero. He is really brave!

splendid isnt that strongenough word,i think it is supposed to be peerless, and that i take it so highly is not because im chinese too. yet,it was really the best i ve ever seen, the whole world was totally shocked. maybe except some our countrymates,i ve been reading lots of negative commentations which were from chinese people in these days.oppositely,i like it very much as a non-nationalist ,isnt that a little ironic? i ve always been resenting that Party ,you know, that flawed social system, but when a little cute girl in red who stood there silently singing a song that is called song for motherland,it was provoking some emotions anyway,of course it would be better if made it real on voice. put it another way,liu xiang aslo growed up in that flawed system, but if you say you can see the darkness in every pace liu xiang does in match,it would be ridiculous a suggestion at last,to choose nbc version, way better than cctv.

I think many things will have the negative and positive opinions. As to the Olympics open ceremony, it goes without saying it's wonderful. Anyone disagrees with it? Then can you make it? If not, then please keep silent.

I too enjoyed watching the opening ceremony. So, is Beijing where you are living? It is good to see that the event is pulled off so nicely. And the coordination of all the mini events and performances are also very well executed. Kudos to everyone who was involved in the ceremony!

AH... so you are a cantonese. I wonder what is the atmosphere like in Beijing. To be in the thick of things. To be there when it is all happening. Should be quite exiciting! Or is it restrictive? Cos I read from the papers, there are a lot of new rules being implemented for this Olympic event.

I also love the Olympic open ceremony. You don't know, how excieting that day,Every member in my family all look forward to that day. After eating dinner,my younger sister,my nephew and me go to play badminton for an hour, then we go home at 7.30.We sit in sofa to wait for the exciting moment. The count down is so wonderful.so many people play the drum, the fireworks are so beautiful.the 29footsteps are so original.I watch it until it finishes.I am amazed that China has so long histroy, the culture is old. There are many thing have no time to bring out for friends.I also watch the closure. It is also wonderful. It gives me a feeling that China open her door to world,we are all family.

Good evening, dear youless. I was so excited to watch the wonderful Beijing Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. I watched it from the beginning to the end. I am so proud of our country for being able to hold the opening ceremony so successfully. These days I am watching and paying great attention to the result of the medals and its progress. Right now nice gold medals have dropped into our pocket and I am sure that more and more gold medals will come to us. I guess that you must be watching the Games as well. Enjoy yourself, my dear youless.

The opening ceremonies were awesome! I loved how they had such huge numbers of performers. The drums at the beginning were so cool and I loved it when all the people doing tei chi (sp) were in those circles and how they kept them so perfectly in line. I had to leave my house just as the parade of nations started and that is usually one of my favorite parts.
