"SHIRK" is an Arabic word which is opposite of "Tauheed" or Monotheism, having no equivalent in English and is polytheism, idolatry, heathenism and paganism etc.One may be guilty of "Shirk" even if one is not an idolater and even if one professed belief in one God Almighty. In Islam,"Shirk" is to ascribe any of exclusive attributes, powers, rights of ALLAH Almighty to any other or to associate any other with Him in any way whatever. It has been declared as the only unforgivable and most heinous sin in the last divine Book, the Holy Quran. So there is a greater need to understand the types of Polytheism in Islam: 1.Making any son, father, wife, daughter or any relative of God Almighty. 2.Making more than one God as believing in trinity. 3.Attributing the knowledge of unseen to other creatures i.e Prophets, monks, priests etc. 4.Worshiping other creatures and bowing in prostration before them instead of one God Almighty. 5.Believing that others can give death, life, benefit , loss and children etc. 6.Calling others i.e Prophets, monks, priests or dead persons etc for help supernaturally. I want to know what other religions say about polytheism and what are your views about it ??

In Christianity the only unforgivable sin is Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. As far as Polytheism, it is strictly forbidden in all Judeo/Christian religions is as far as "Tho shall have no other God before Yahveh" but in the Christian Religion we have a Trinity that is Father(God), Son(Yahshua), and Holy Spirit and all three are one. Father-God / Son-God made flesh / and Holy Spirit-God in action thus all three are the same and all three are God therefore Monotheism and opposed to Polytheism. Have a great day!!!

Thank you for the response. I am not a Christian but I do ascribe more to the Bible than any other scripture. I do believe in God, Yahshua, Buddha, Muhammad, and the other Holy People throughout history. I do not believe that any one religion is 100%true as I believe that the one God has come to people in many different ways throughout history so that he could reach all. It seems that in religion the only real difference is the window dressing (Dogma, creed, tradition, story and allagory) but the fundamentals are all the same, "Do onto others as you would have done onto you!" Thank you once again for the reply and have a great day!!!

Thanks for your reply. In fact we should see which religion is based on the most protected and authenticated Holy Book, having the original text without any alteration or corruption. The Holy Quran is the last divine revelation, which is being divinely protected till the Last Day.Now no other Prophet has to come except Jesus(pbuh).Trinity is a clear blasphemy and polytheism as per the last divine Book, the Holy Quran.Any one having some sense will never agree on: 1+1+1=1.....It is just a man-made belief..........

That's great !!You are joining 3 Gods/separate entities into one God and still not indulging in polytheism..........It is a great logic for you people.I think only Jesus can teach you what is real Monotheism, which one God Almighty desires from all human beings......So let's wait for him to clarify all our doubts........

I do not agree with the thought that there is only one way and that everyone else who do not adhere to that line of thought are wrong. Whether is is Muslim or Christian or some other religion. I believe that we all have free will and do not need to be completely devoted to one religion out of fear or intimidation. When people make very narrow statements that only their way is the right way then I will let them know (if I feel like it) that they are wrong and that there in no "only one way".

Thanks for responding and sharing your nice views.I donot want to impose my views on others. We were created to recognize and worship only one God Almighty, therefore monotheism or "Tauheed" (in Arabic) was the first and foremost requirement of the original divine religion given by God Almighty. The Holy Quran says that before our creation, our souls had taken an Oath of Allegiance in front of God Almighty that they would never indulge in polytheism. But satan kept on misguiding them. That's why about 1,24000 Prophets were sent to this world to remind us about this promise. So one should always try to hear signals from one's inner self that what his soul says about oneness of God Almighty.......Then there is no harm if we study all the scriptures and do comparison without any prejudice. We should be realistic in our approach towards all religions if we really want to find out the Truth.........

Interesting you have this word, though it is not an exact transliteration the English word infidel is perhaps somewhat similar. Though correctly used and infidel is one that denies the divinity of Yeshua all the best urban
