how stupid Iam? i was watching news and it came to my attention it said Russia was attacking in Georgia! scared the stuff out of me. as here in USA we have a state named Georgia! now how many people knew (be truthful, please) that theres a country called/named Georgia? please tell me im not the dumbest american.

it happens. and let me assure you, though I know a bit of geography... even I got the scares. So, you are not the dumbest of americans. I join you as another dumb person .. not from america, but from India. Anyhow, there is nothing wrong in our getting scared. This world, these dirty politicians... anything can happen any moment. Hi bunny! Ok girlfriend! You have company! I didn't understand why Russia was attacking Georia the state either. Everytime I heard it I kept thinking "what did they do to Russia to piss them off so much"? Why are they just attacking them and nobody else in the USA? I never bothered to read the nes about it. Talk about dumb! So I'm really an idiot and yes fellow mylotes I belong to the idiot club! I'm #20!

I did. When I was in school Georgia was gaining its independence from Russia so I am sure it was at the fore front of a few history courses (early 1990's). This is just one more reason kids need more time in school.

Ah, that explains it. You know the "old" map LOL The only one that goofs me up is that Yugoslavia is not a country anymore. I know it broke up when I was in school, but I can never remeber into what bcause it has changed names a few times.

well, there you go! i've been out of school since 1967! most of the news etc. revolved around the war. nothing was ever mentioned about a country named Georgia, kid.

yep, Georgia is obviously a russian name. who knew! we have a few indian names here for states i think. or do you mean from india?

as i am in europe and with football (soccer) being played in the European championships, scotland had georgia in the group stages. i did know of it before. and georgia in the US. and georgia that lives 3 doors down.

Yaiks!I felt stupid with your foil issue now it's Georgia.No!I never knew there was a country named Georgia.It's only last night before going to bed when my husband was telling me what he read in the net about the attacks, the president of Georgia who is Saakashvili,so on so forth.I rushed out and checked the map i bought for my little boy.....it's another GeorgiaThat makes one dumb Filipino in your list

Wow! I didn't even know there was another place named Georgia besides our state here in the US! I would have been scared too, I am in Minnesota and when the Twin Towers went they had said something about the Hinckley Casino being one of the next targets due to the size of it and I live here in Hinckley. Believe me I was scared sh%$less when they said that! No you are not a dumb American as I am right there with you!
