Well as most of you know I am way behind on my scrap book for my daughter. I have been working on overtime trying to catch up. Yesterday was a relax day so I got 6 more pages done. I am so excited its coming along so well. It looks so good. So do you keep up with your scrapbooks or let them go for a while? How do you catch up when you just haven't had the time. I noticed that I am still putting a lot into each page knowing that I have sooo many to go. When playing catch up do you still put your all into the pages?

I am so far behind it isn't even funny. My oldest daughter is 3 and I still need to do her 1st brithday and start on her second book which I still need to buy then my youngest just made 1 and I still need to buy her book thats how far behind I am. I'm bad. We use to have a scrapbooking night but everyone got so busy and we stopped but we need to have it again even if its only once a month so I can get stuff done. I have been collecting stuff and have a box for each of them with pictures and stuff I have for them but I really need to get busy. It would be nice for me to have some kid free time to scrapbook with the girls. Good luck I hope you get caught up soon. Oh and you should put your all into each page no matter what.

Well I went through all my pictures yesterday and put them in where they will go in the scrapbook. Now I just have to do each page. I am finally in date order - I have been off for a while. I won't have to go back and re-arange any more that was taking up sooo much time! Becuase I did this I am hoping it will get easier. I finally have the motovation to get caught up. I am moving back to FL and know every one will want to see it.

I sometimes let them go....then play catch up. I have a ton of scrapping to do but usually do it best when I have someone to scrap with....My sisters and I have weekends that we do it and my daughter in law also does it with me.....I seem to get more accomplished when I am with someone! LOL.

I agree! My friend was over last week and we were going at it. I said to her we aren't even talking but I really like having some one here doing this with me! She agreed it was just the fact that some one was there.

I agree, I love it when my oldest daughter has a chance to come up for a visit, we take over the dining room table lol. But we have a great time. I got her in to scrapbooking when her hubby was deployed in Iraq. She would come up and spend weeks at a time with us, and we would spend evenings and weekends scrapbooking. I have a very tolerant s/o, I do have to give him credit, for putting up with us talking and laughing and scrapbooking for hours. And he never minded her being here for weeks on end.

Glad your scrapbook is coming along. I have been working on softball scrapbooks for other people(sold 3 this summer), so haven't really been working on any of mine. But, today is a rainy day here, so good for scrapbooking. I'll be doing some catching up come the end of October, going to a Scrapbook Retreat, a whole weekend of scrapbooking, and my daughter will be there too. So, some of my pages I have ideas for I'm saving to do that weekend. But I still have plenty of pages to catch up on lol. I still take my time and put my all into every page, whether I have a lot to catch up on or not.

Glad I'm not the only one! I know I'm not a slacker but I sure feel like one when I look at my scrapbook! You must really be good if you are able to sell scrapbooks! I know a few people that just don't have the time to do it but would love to have it done! I can see how you could make some money doing that. Do you have the pictures of do they provide you with them?

For the softball scrapbooks, I took all the pictures myself. I went to their games, practices, etc. and took pictures. I also figured out early on in this venture to make a file on my computer for each girl, and put their photos in that file. Then if or when they ordered one, I could start working on it and not have to go back and find their pictures and edit, it was already done. All I had to due was print them. I also found out that finding scrappin supplies pertaining to softball isn't easy, there is plenty for baseball, so I had to be really creative when I was doing the layouts.

My daughter is adopted and we had some issues finding the birth father to finalize... Long story short. After it became official we had a family gathering/dinner and I realized I only had a few pages of her scrapbook and she was 14 months old. I wanted all our family and friends to see her scrapbook from birth to then. So in one week I finished 14 months worth. What I did is spent a few hours organizing the pictures that would go on a page. Example: Summer Lovin' page had her in a sandbox, swimming and playing outside. Hospital pictures, family pictures etc. Well then another day I got the paper stickers and embellishments that would go to each theme. Then I just glued everything together. (Let me add I am a photographer and 14 months filled 1 1/2 12x12 scrapbooks.) I did it from start to finish in one week. I really liked having everything organized first and you can make changes along the way and it gives you more time to really know what you want and not stress. Good luck.

Wow you did a lot in one week! I couldn't do that. I just don't have the time I wish that I did! Working full time, having my daughter, my husband, and a house on the market scrapbooking although always on my mind - no time. I'm not a professional photographer or any thing but I do spend a lot of time taking pictures and I coudn't tell you how many I have of my daughter!

I'm actually a little behind on my daughters scrapbook as well. What i do is a space them out to where it isn't a "job" but so it is enjoyable. I always try to be creative with every page. I try my best to put my all into them, but sometimes I am just like one more page...one more page. I think though its more important for her to see when she is older how much work I put into it for her, and hopefully she will one day apprieciate it. Good luck scrapbooking!

I'm sure she will! My plan is to do one for every year of my daughters life and her graduation present will be her 18 years of scrapbooks. She is only 19 months old know and I am still working on her year book but I'm all most ready to start the second!

I guess because I have so little time I don't even try to catch up. I like to do my best on every page and that sometimes ends up taking a lot of time. When the baby is a little older I figure I'll get more of an opportunity to catch up. The other night I got to do two pages - they weren't complicated, but they got were meaningful. They were the first ones I'd done in over a month. I try to keep it even - do a page for the 3 years olds book, then one for the 2 years old, then one for the baby (and maybe one for my misc. book) but I've found it easier to just scrap whatever strikes a cord with me at the time. Congrats on getting so much done in one day.

Glad you are able to scrapbook! I am so far behind in scrapbooking these days. I still need to finish up my Disney one from a year ago. I tend to be a simple scrapper I don't use any beading-lots of stickers and cut outs.

Wow, you are doing great! Yes, I am bad I have several scrapbooks going all at once. I will still put a lot into each page, even if I have a lot to do because that's how I am and what I like to do at times. Sometimes though, photos that are more special will get extra touches. I am a fairly simple scrapbooker. At least I think so. My BFF will argue that point.

One of these days I will post a photo of my messy, but somehow organized studio. I actually have the different "in progress" scrapbooks organized in different drawers so I can pull them out (along with the coordinating supplies) when I feel like/need to work on them. So far, they have been resting for a while. My most current one is on our dining room hutch. Much to my husbands dismay, even though I have my own room, it still travels all over the house. LOL

Well you have a big kitchen counter so there will be plenty of room for the scrapbook stuff. I already have it planned out. Gammy or Brian can watch Lu - you, me and "Jack D" can scrapbook!

I make scrap books for my own personal use, although I have been thinking of making one for my Mom for Christmas next year...I have a whole year to work on it and it's something that I think she will truly appreciate.
