Mine is not traditional, my family always likes me to make my crumb cake. Although, one of them wants me to make a pumpkin pie this year.

I usually bake a pumpkin pie because it was a tradition when I was growing up. My husband grew up with sweet potato pie and pecan pie. I usually bake one of each of those as well.

You are right Littlefranciscan. As far as I know Thanksgiving Day is related with the arrival of Mayflower's Pilgrims to the lands that nowadays are the USA. Out of USA Thanksgiving Day is not celebrated. I knew that turkey was traditional at Thanksgiving Day but didn't know about pumpkin pie. ¿Is it tasteful?

Well, there will be a pumpkin pie, but I don't like it so I doubt I will eat any. I also know my MIL is making a pineapple upside down cake, but I don't like cake either. If I have it my way, I will make some cookies and that will be my dessert.

We always have made-from-scratch pumpkin pie and pecan pie, both with real whipped cream. Somehow it wouldn't seem like Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie.
