do not be shaken in your faith. for the bible gives many accounts of people coming in the end times to do just that. the bible says that there will be those who will be like: "where is this god?" dont think for a minute that this is not a coquiencidence. it calls us as christians to fight the good fight and if you want more proof of us being in the end times i would suggest that you check out endtime.com. for the past several weeks now they have said that there is a war coming that will kill 2 billion people. and if you look at what is going on right now - with Georgia and Russia and Iran vs Israel you will find that you need to hold on to your faith a little while longer. also in the scriptures it says that if someone comes and starts causing problems, then you should test them against the prophecies. do not waiver in your faith. now is the time to stand against these things. for it also says fear not those that can kill the body. but fear the almighty God who can kill the body and then through it into hell. Now i know that you are just like me. i see things around us going on all the time and think how easy it would be for us just to give up. but in giving up doesn't mean that you need to turn away from God. Pray that he will restore you. and it will be done. also know that in the end time the holy spirit will be taken away and that is when the anti-christ will be unleashed. be strong dear friend hold true to the teachings of Jesus and stand firm against the wars of this world. read matthew for confirmation on what i am saying.

You can't use the Bible as proof that the Bible is true. That's circular reasoning.

I have also watched Zeitgeist, I'm not christian but it's not good to judge religions. It's important to show respect to every religion no matter how crazy it may seem. This film didn't really scare me, but more shocked me because all it talked about was the negative views and conspiracy theorys. If you truly have faith that god exists, then don't believe some rubbish video.

Just because you should respect someone's belief doesn't mean you shouldn't point out proof against their belief. There are countless religions in existance, and obviously not all of them are correct (if even more than one). If there's evidence proving a religion is the wrong one, why should that evidence be held secret? It should be brought to light and shown to the followers in an attempt to stop them from believing something that is *wrong*. Now, I'm not saying Christianity is wrong, though I'm not a believer myself. I'm talking about if such proof were to come to light for any religion in general. The documentary just so happens to speak of Christianity. It's up to the believer to decide if the proof is valid and hefty enough to shake his or her faith.

In Zeitgeist Addendum (October 2008) they state that religion offers a comfort for those who require it. So if you need the comfort of religion, that's okay. You sound like you have been raised with religion but are open minded to other possibilities. If it's scary for you to know that your religion is false, and that's not a fear you can live with, then stick to your religion. You know that your religion is true and that keeps you safe. The feeling of safety and security is what religion is all about. Growing-up, I had always heard that the Christian stories resembled other stories fromolder religions but I never kenw what they were. The movie does a beautiful job of laying it all out.

Yeah you are right PrincessKitten the Zeitgeist does a great job in displaying the truth. I've been an atheist ever since I started thinking I guess, and this movie is exactly the thing that everyone should see. For me it's really silly to believe that after life you will go to a place where you will live forever in harmony and happiness. I would like (it's probably never gonna happen) people to realize that almost all of the wars and genocides happened because of the religion differences and to see the religion as what it really is. The church and religion institutions are just a place where you go and meet other good and peaceful people and where you can get the support and relax your brain from everyday troubles nothing more.
