Meals prepared and eaten at home are usually more nutritious and healthy. They contain more fruits, vegetables, and dairy products along with additional nutrients such as fiber, calcium, vitamins A and C, and folate. Home-cooked meals are usually not fried or highly salted, plus soda and sweetened beverage consumption is usually lower at the dinner table.
It's time to bring the "family" back to the dinner table. Sharing dinner together gives everyone a sense of identity. It can help ease day-to-day conflicts, as well as establish traditions and memories that can last a lifetime.

Yeah you are right, food prepared at home are healthier and more nutritious. In my family we do have the habit of eating together during meals. I think that is a very god way to have bonding with children and parents. Meal times are also a good way to keep track of each others daily activities and future plans. As children grow older they become busier so parents need to find a way to bring them together. And eating all together is the best. Take care

My husband and I like to eat together, because we love to spend time together, and it's a nice opportunity for us to have a nice conversation.

So true about the family thing. Although it may not be quite right with the food being healthy. That really depends on what is being cooked in the family on a regular basis. Not all families cook healthy meals. But it definitely helps a family communicate and feel closer to each other.
