Do you ever have distraction syndrome?

You want to start a new topic at MyLot. You go looking for the interest you want to post it under - then you notice other topics that intrigue you so you click on them, then another, then another, and half an hour later you realize you still haven't posted that discussion you wanted to start. I do this ALL the time (in fact, I'm doing it NOW - this is not actually the original discussion I was wanting to start an hour ago, I got distracted then that gave me the idea to start THIS discussion. LOL!) Anybody else have this problem? I've also always been one of those people who looks up a word in the dictionary then gets distracted by other words on the page that I've never heard before.

i think most of us are experiencing the same problem. i myself too has been experiencing the same thing most of the time. what i do now is concentrate first on responding to discussions. after responding to several, thats when i will start posting discussions, i focused on my discussion so i won't be bothered by some posting again. i now enjoy more of myself this way. besides, i don't think its a problem though. we were just having much fun that we do not know whether we post first or respond first. happy mylotting!

Distraction syndrome isn't only confined to MyLot, but to the internet in general! I work from home, on the computer, and am frequently finding myself posting at forums (internet marketing, webmaster, etc ... so kind of work related LOL), looking at the weather at noaa.gov, sneaking a peek here, etc. I'm glad I'm my own boss, otherwise there would be trouble for goofing off at work *winks* It is hard not to be distracted when there are so many interesting things to view here at MyLot and on the web in general. You could spend a lifetime and never see everything that should be seen on the internet. And then there is the world outside our doors! *head spins outta control and crashes into the wall* *grins* Sorry, am over-tired and getting slap-happy.
