trends

Isn't it funny how things go in trends and things turn upside down etc!!!
i was thinking a while back when i was a girl if you had lino in your bedrooms you were considered not poor but not well off enough to buy carpet for your befrooms, the same for certain rooms downstairs as well. Now espically in the united kingdom we are now going back to non carpet floors and this define as being up to date with the latest fashions/trends etc.
what other trends do you know about that are from the past and are now making a come back?

think many of the old ways are returning, because we are all cutting down on use of energy, for the sake of the environment or because of rising costs.
People are again hanging out their washing (weather permitting) instead of using the dryer, and I believe more young people are starting to take an interest in growing their own food, rather than buying it from the supermarket.
I also read that more families are going on camping trips in their own countryside, rather than flying abroad to sit in the sun for a week or two.
I think in some ways concern about climate change and fuel costs can be a good thing, because in ending our wasteful consumption of energy we can all learn to enjoy a simpler lifestyle
