Midnight Cookies & Cream vs Original Cookies & Cream

I love the original cookies and cream, it ain't too sweet but you still get that taste of chocolate cookies. But what about the midnight cookies and cream? For me, midnight cookies and cream is like a redundant statement, chocolate plus chocolate cookies.
I'm a chocolate lover who loves cookies and cream flavored ice cream, but how can I appreciate the chocolate cookie (or an oreo) if there's already chocolate ice cream?

Hi chicha0522 - Actually, before now, I had never ever even heard of Midnight cookies & cream ice cream! But hey... it sounds pretty yummy. I do have to agree with you though, how could you really appreciate & taste the oreo cookie part if it is in chocolate ice cream?! When I first started reading your post, I thought maybe midnight cookies & cream had dark chocolate in it. That sounds kind of good too! I never used to like dark chocolate until the past couple of years. Of course, my favorite is still milk chocolate, but ever now & then I like dark chocolate. How about you? Do you like dark chocolate?

i love dark chocolate... I love how it awakens my senses, its not too sweet plus it has a bitter taste to it which I think is a nice touch, makes you appreciate the real taste of chocolate/cocoa.
Midnight cookies and cream is cookies and cream with mild chocolate, its available in Hagen Daas. (spell check)

it might not be called midnight coockies and cream, I saw one that was called dark cookies and cream, and the other chocolate cookies and cream, it was so yummy, but I couldn't taste the chocolate cookie.

I would have to choose midnight cookies and cream. I have never had it but it sounds like an ice cream for me.

I assume you're a mega chocolate lover, it's ok I guess, but its too much chocolate for me, too much to the point it hurts my throat... but i guess if you eat it in small amounts its pretty good...
