Ideal age..

I would definitely agree that 25-30 is the ideal age to start having children. By this time you should be financially stable and able to handle the added responsibility of having a child. Plus the older women get the more unlikely it is for us to get pregnant. However, if you as an individualy feel that you are mature earlier than that, give it a shot. No one should be able to tell you any different.

It depends on each person and the living situation. I am 26 and I know I do not want children. I like kids, but I'd rather be able to just give them back at the end of the day. I am not emotionally mature enough to handle kids at this point, anyway. (That's just me -- I'm still learning about myself!) My parents were almost in their mid-30s when I was born. Back in the early 80s that was sort of unusual but look at all the parents now, having their first kids in their 40s!

I would have to agree with you, you are both physically and mentally ready for one at around 25-30 or so, a lot of complications happen around younger people and older.

I agree with you, my wife and I were 30, and that seemed ideal, but now I wish we had started a couple of years earlier. But it worked out pretty well. I think once you have had a good amount of time being alone with your spouse and are fiancially secure, and mature enough to handle it, that is what is most important.

I would agree with you. By the age of 25 you have enough maturity to be able to handle the demands of a newborn and, hopefully, one of you is far enough along in your career that supporting a child would not be too much of a financial burden. I don't believe that you should wait past 30 to have your first child. It seems that your energy level goes down at around 35 and you really need to have energy to keep up with young kids.

I would say between 25 and 30 as well. Old enough to have had some life experience. Young enough to enjoy the baby. Should have feet settled on the ground fairly well by that age. I myself was nearly 31 when I had my first. It was a good time, though we had been trying for nearly 2 years and lost one in between that time. But it worked out well. Now we have 3.

I agree somewhat. I definitely would like to have children around that age. It's not too early and not too late as well. I also think that having children are not only determined by age. I think that it depends on the situation of the person as well and their financial situation, which is the most important in my eyes. Children are expensive and we have to make sure we are able to take care of them adequately.

i got married at at the age of 24, got pregnant at the age of 25. gave birh at the age of 26. now my daughter is 21 and im 47. the age gap is not too much. we can still adjust and adopt each others likes and dislikes.

Well I think you nail it on the head lol. Really I agree with you 25-30 of age is normal for me when a normal person usually gets married or have kids, So yeah I think that age because at that time in a persons life they will be done school and probably finish college or what ever and have a very good paying job and stuff well yeah thats why I think thats a good age and I think thats why most people do that during that age and stuff so yeah I agree 25-30 years old is a good age. I guess 25 - 30 age bracket is just right. You're not too young and not too old, just mature enough to handle the rsposibilities of being a wife/husband and a dad/ mom.
