Yes, twice in the last month actually! lol. I was making fried chicken about a month ago. (I was cooking it in a skillet in oil) Well, I went to flip the chicken with tongs and it slipped, splashing in the oil, and the VERY VERY hot oil managed to splash ALL over my legs and some spots on my arms. I screamed because it was the most intense pain I'd ever felt and my boyfriend came running and now looking back I laugh because he's wiping my legs asking if I'm okay and then going "You are never allowed in the kitchen again" (because just a month and a half before that I cut my hand and had to get 5 stiches) I still have some of the marks on my legs. The other time was just a few days ago taking a cassorole out of the oven and i hit my hand on the side of the oven.

lol. He realized in order for him to have a nice dinner made, being in the kitchen was kind of required. :-)

sorry for u;r burn ,its a horrible think i know because i have also experience in it. if u get burned ,immediately u apply some toothpaste to it. then it won;t hurt u and there will be no burn mark for u. try this tip if u want. yes i also got burn in last month when i was deep frying egg .the hot oil was splitted on my left hand . then i put some ointment to it and it got cooled and i don;t have pain. and before that 4 months back also i have got burn mark from pressure cooker for left hand only. then i put ointment for burns and within one week i was recovered . but no one should get such experiences as it is horrible pain when we get burns.

I've never really burned myself. Atleast not cooking. My friend once spilled hot gravy down her leg. Her whole shin was a big burn and she still has a mark from it. I burnt myself with an m-80. We were putting off little fireworks at our house on the fourth one year. I lit an m80 that i was holding and wasn't paying attention that the wick of it was bent towards my finger. I swear it looked like my skin was melting off for a second and then i got a huge blister.

Watch that stuff! About a month ago, was multitasking when I shouldn't have been. I wasn't careful when I lifted the lid off a pot on the stove. I burned two fingers worse than I'd thought they could be. The blisters became infectd, so I went to the doctor. That cooking steam gave me second- and third-degree burns! Those fingers are still red and sort of hard, and it still hurts a lot! Even after a month. I don't heal well because I have diabetes, but this is ridiculous! Please be careful not to get burned.

Eggplant parm - Tastes good, but boy is it hot.
Oh yes, I was baking eggplant parm once, and when I took it out of the oven the towel slipped, and the whole thing hit the floor. When it dropped, it splattered and the sauce and cheese hit my foot and leg. Boyyyyyy did that hurt, after tending to my wounds, I had a mess in my kitchen to clean up. It went everywhere. I still have the scar on my leg.

Oh yeah, back when I was 11 years old I went to visit my dad in Texas and we were staying in a camper trailer. It exploded when my grandfather was making coffee and I barely made it out alive. I had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns on 68% of my body and I still have very visible scars on my hands and the back of my legs. My aunt called me "Corndog Fingers" while I was in the hospital because my fingers were the size of corndogs due to the blisters.
