When you watch shows on TV shows, ever wonder why/how they get things done? I know it is TV and you can't take real life and put it into the show, but some realistic ordinary things would be nice....but for instance, You seldom see anyone go to work every morning, you see them "working" while at a coffee shop. You never see the mothers getting their kids ready for school, there is always a nanny to do that. They do "work" everywhere but their office and the most common meeting place is in the hospitals! YOu never see them shop for groceries, but you do ALWAYS see them come home with a bag of groceries and there is ALWAYS one of those long, thin french bread rolls sticking out of the bag along with a bunch of carrots with the tops still on, draped over the bag edge! And of course when they take the ingredients out of the bag it is always to make an Italian style meal - never steak and potatoes, or mexican or any other dish. Their houses are always CLEAN - even with kids, you never see a toy on the floor or anything out of place. Women wear really nice clothes while they lounge around the house and even when they are supposedly cleaning house - in heels of course. ANd when the women go do something "rugged" like to sneak around to find answers or anyting out-doorsey - they are always in a low cut, slinky style blouse with nice slacks and high heels - never jeans and sneakers! Does it bother you? I don't even watch much tv but this is what I always see. Do you?

You sure have thought this discussion out, my friend. you are so correct. They never sleep either, just go to bed, make love, and then it is the next day and they are at work or somewhere. Like, what happened to sleeping and getting up and showering and doing some house chores and getting off to work. Anyways, that's not what people want to see so they don;t show us. They have to make the show interesting or they would lose their viewing public. hehe pretty good huh, I could maybe write some caption for the soap operas. Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend, Your friend Chris

Yeah, I know no one would want to watch it but it just annoys me that they think nothing matters in life other than "bed" time amongst everyone all the time!

I guess that is why it is TV and not real life. I think people are watching TV to escape from their real life and it is what they think people want to watch. I just wish the wrtiers would show alittle bit more reality in their dramas. Grey;s anamtomy and all that bed hopping and all that stuff. Just show at least one or two happily married characters who'se lives are not a wreck.

Exactly! I wouldn't want towatch a show about my life but at the same time, I guess maybe I am just to worn out with movies - they are so exaggerated! And prime time shows, like you said about Greys Aanamtomy - is that all doctors and nurses do? Acording to that show it is! Many might think they are boring, but I miss the sitcoms of the 70's and 80's =- Growing Pains, Family Matters, Boy MEets WOrld and so on - a nice family, with the regular family problems that we all have, not who's in who's bed this week!

Ever watched malcom in the middle. That show does display reality its very funny. The house is always a mess. Mom is hardly ever dressed up and when she does something bad always happens. Other than that i agree most shows dont show reality they show the easy life.

I did watch that show a few times! Yeah, it was refreshing to see "normal" for a change! I just get tired of seeing such perfection in the most useless ways!

That's what I call the art of directory on filming shows. Ofcourse every guy behind the camera have planned everything, the place, how their actors/actresses looks like, the grocery lol. It's always all planned and implemented. But sometimes the actors/actresses doesn't always done it exactly, the scripts, the acts, sometimes they do even more better for what is really planned.

Guess that is just planned just to much! To me it is annoying to have to see that same thing over and over - movie, tv... just like everyone walks home with that same stuff! Talk about scripting!

Yeah, probably wouldn't! But I think they could give it a littel more "realistic" looks and put something else in the shopping bag besides that long loaf of bread and carrot tops hanging out! It's like it is just standard protocal!
