how do you react with beggars?

i usually see beggars/peddlers loitering around the city and it bothers me a lot. not out of fear but out of concern, these people are unsure where to get their means of living and the foos that they are about to eat. i think we should look down on these people for they are human beings after all and needs to be respected. i just hope that the government will develop projects to help this people out of misery. when you see a beggar how doe you react with them? do you lokk at them with derision and scorn?

When I'm in a really generous mood I sometimes give alms to the poor. But generally I just ignore them. I especially don't like giving money to beggars who seem strong enough to work or who pretend to have some ailment. Children and old women are more likely to receive money from me because I pity them the most. Sometimes I get annoyed when beggars won't leave me alone. Is that bad?

I don't like to give to the strong ones because for me they look so lazy. give alms is your choice it is not really your responsibility to give them alms. Giving again should always come from the heart and not out of obligation. thanks for the post!!!

I give beggars money. I don't care what they spend it on. I'm happy that I made their life slightly easier.
