Does anyone here on Mylot know of a LEGIT freelance writing site where you can submit articles for publication and get paid for them. My wife who is a devotional writer is looking to do some freelance writing and we are looking for REAL sites that do this.

She may do well at helium.com, which has a large section of topics under Religion & Spirituality. They have free writing contests where you can win money, and a Marketplace where you can sell articles to publishers, but the main part of the site is for building up a list of articles, on whichever subjects you choose to write about, and they go into a rating system. All articles can earn money, but it's based on a share of the income from the adverts that appear with your articles each time they are read. Apart from the money I've won in contests, and which I've been paid for articles sold, I earn a little from my list of articles every day. One article has earned nearly a dollar in a short time, others do less well, so it's not big money, but they go on earning day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. If you write enough articles you can build up a monthly income there.

Do you have a referral link or is it not a site that takes referrals?

The do have a system of sending emails to invite new writers but I have never bothered with it. Easier just to go to http://www.helium.com

You can also try associatedcontent.com .It is also a trusted good freelance site. You will earn from the article view & by the sell of articles. Minimum payout is as lower as 20$ by paypal. If your wife can write good then I think if you can linked the article well then into one month it is possible to reach the payout limit.

She could try Suite 101.com. They have a wide variety of topics and the residual income improves over time. The minimum requirement is to write 10 articles in a 3 month period of time.
