That looks so freaking ugly. Eeks. I have nothing against people who tattooed themselves. I had also been thinking of getting a tattoo myself. But, of course it is one thing to have done tattoos on the body tastefully and another to make it look so ugly. Most people who tattoo themselves do it as a form of self-expression. They see their body as a piece of blank canvas that has not yet been painted, and by placing tattoos on their bodies, they are setting their paintwork, marking their skin for life. Some do it just to look cool, they do it for fashion. They look at others who had tattooed their bodies, and want one just like them to fit into the crowd, and so they marked themselves for life, only to regret what they had done at a later point of their lives. My boyfriend belonged to this category. Some others do it out of fun and curiosity. They are curious to want to try it out themselves to have a feel of how tattooing their bodies feel like, and what people would think. And so, they went ahead and tattooed their bodies. Some others do it just because. And I think that it is the case with this man over here in the pictures. It could be that he was trying to be different from others, and does not want to fit in with the crowd. By tattooing himself in that manner and by piercing his nose and ears that way, he definately would stand out in a crowd and that could be the regconition that he hope to achieve. And he most certainly had!

What the hell is that? What is wrong with these people? WHY is the better question here. I just want to know the reason why people do that to their bodies. I just can't imagine doing that to myself. How is the person in that picture going to get a stable job with all that all over him? The only places I can think of that will take him is tattoo parlors, sideshow jobs, tattoo conventions, piercing shops. Imagine him at 85 years old. Those tattoos will not be recognizable. Those holes are gonna sag. Oh sweet mother of....I don't know what people are thinking. I agree with you...please help me understand. The things that you do to your bodies now will affect you when you get older.

i don't know about the "holes" but i can attest to the fact that sometimes tattoos do stand the test of time and aging. About ten years ago i was standing in line at a convenient store in East Texas. A little old man was in front of me. i stand around six foot one inches tall so i could easily see the top of the old man's head. He was bald on top with gray tufts on the side of his head. On top of his head was a tattoo of a diamond back snake coiled up. i couldn't figure an old man who had to be at least in his seventies going to get a fresh tat. So i spoke to him about it. He had it done after he left the service in the 1950's. After all that time that tattoo looked good. Very discernible. As for the cat in the photograph, it is rather extreme. But as someone else already stated to each his own. i imagine he can find a job easily depending on what region in which he lives.

I am not into tattoo thing. It is not that i hate it. But it is not something i will appreciate. I like paintings. But not on the body. But rather on the canvass. I hope people with tattoos will not get offended.

i find it kind of weird. I love tattoes though, i don't have any.But i can't understand either why these people on your picture are having these things done to their bodies. Tattoes are great especially now that it has become so popular and with those great artist in tatto making. But these, I think they have place a ring into their earlobes' hole and into their nostrils. But surely they have their reason for having these done to themselves.

Oh, really strange! I will never do that. Maybe they like to pursue difference with other people to cause the attention of others. They are free to do anything they want besides illegal things.

I don't see what's strange about it. It is something he likes the aesthetics of, and good for him. Life is to be lived in the way which you see fit. If he wants to be covered in tattoos, then that is his choice. I think it's incredibly rude for people to call it disgusting.

in this world, everything seems to be in line with fashion. from small to super huge earrings or from the smallest to the biggest tattoos anywhere in the body. i used to call people like them strange. but these days, i accepted the fact that people are different in many ways. maybe having tattoos like this is a way of appreciating art. noone really knows for sure.

hi al! well, for some of us, or most of us, tattoos are radical and strange. but for those who have, those who don't are the ones strange. i am not really sure why people opt to have their bodies drawn on like that. i value my body, as it is the only one God has given me. i put on accessories and make up and when i get tired of them, i discard them. but with tattoos, you cannot have one easily removed, unless by surgery. anyway, in my case, i don't think i can live with a tattoo on my body. even if not for religious reasons or beliefs that uphold that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, but for practical reasons. i just don't like it, no offense to those who have. i guess to each his own then. good day and God bless you! :-)

I know some people want to do these things to themselves but that is what they want. I don't want to look like that but to each his own I guess. I have one tattoo on my ankle and I'd like to get another tattoo maybe on my back. Just a smaller one, nothing huge. But as to your question...I don't know why people do this to themselves...I guess it's just how they want to look.

lol the pic you posted, its not the tattoo thats weird in that one.. look at his nose! As for dumb tattoos, I think alot of them are dares, or what they thought was funny at the time. So they could look back and say "remember when i got that dumb tattoo, was I ever funny" thats the only explanation I can think of.

It maybe strange to others but for people who do this it is not. I do have a few friends that have tattoos on their face but I will be the first to say that they are quite tasteful if you ask me. I think you might think this is strange to do because of the seperators and the stretching of the ears and nose. However I have seen people do the ears. Not only guys but girls as well. And one guy that did the middle piece of his nose. But that was tastefully done as well. In some cultures the bigger loop that you have the more turn on it is for a woman. I can't remember what it is called though. However I am not going to judge a person because of the cover you never know this guy might be the nicest guy that you would ever meet. Just don't be so quick to judge him.

That is a very strange tattoo my friend, and I agree I am not sure what to call them, but it is crazy and I do not know why anyone would do that to themselves, especially since it looks like it would be extremely painful, even though some people do it to fit in,and some do it to look cool or tough to other people,I have only known a few people who were foolish enough to get a tattoo, and I thank you for sharing this with all of us.

That's pretty wild. Body modification is really starting to gain widespread popular appeal, and it seems like those trying to be different are trying to one-up 'normal' people with tattoos and piercings. I definitely wouldn't choose it for myself, but I guess, if it makes you happy and isn't hurting anyone else, you might as well go for it.
