I found that out after I posted this but I also found out that Vancouver is the place for the next winter Olympics in early 2010. Since I want to move to Oregon, Vancouver would be a realistic spot for me to go. I'd love to go to London as well and tie in a trip to France and maybe Austria and Germany.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who wants to be there. I went to the 1984 Olympics here in Los Angeles and was there for the opening and closing ceremonies, which were great! I've always wanted to attend the winter Olympics, though, and watch the ice skating performances and some of the skiing.
Who knows, maybe Vancouver will be my chance.

The 2012 Olympics will be in London, can't wait! They are preparing for it already.

I couldn't find next summer's,.... maybe it's a bit early? However, I did find the winter 2009 (coming up) and here's what I found.
2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games
The 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games will attract up to 3,000 athletes from 85 nations to compete in seven Olympic-type sports: Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating, floor hockey, snowboarding, snowshoe racing and speed skating.
