Do you believe that you get blessed when you help? / myLot

There is lots being said about in the epics about the blessings or good virtue when you help others. Do you or the ones around you help others only to get good virtue or blessings? For me it is just a feeling that comes from within and i wish to help just to have that internal mental satisfaction. I don't know if i get good virtues or blessings thru that and how many i would get. These things are virtual (at least presently) and so i don't think of them when i intend to help. How about you? Share your experiences and feelings.

To help is not about expecting something in return. You do it because you feel it's the right thing to do not because something will come out from heaven and rain on you.

it is written in 1 of our religious books....that if we think about wat we get in exchange by helpin others.....then that blessing will get diminsh or lost...at that particulr time of thinkin that.....nd we get nothin.... so we have to do our karma....nd nt to think wat we get in exchange....god will take care about all this...

I try and do at least one good deed a day, and if it means helping others, I would happily do it. It gives me a sense of fulfillment when I see a smile on someones face, and it makes my day. I truely believe me that blessings are what we get when we do something good for others and these blessings do help. We have to do our duty without expectations and leave the rest to God.

I help others because it give me some satisfaction. I dont know about the good virtues and blessings that come along with that.

Well ,when you help anybody , better not to think , what will you get in return. I never , think of good virtue... Just see, is the person really deserving..

Hi sivanj No i don't bother about any blessings at all. I do help whenever i want and i can. I help just to help the person, not for appreciation or blessings.

I believe if you do good things for others good things will follow you. Karma is very important in life.
