Any choir members here?

I sang in choir all through school and I am in my local church choir. It is something that I have always enjoyed.

i was in my school choice at one point, but i quit because of some leadership issues. i've also tried joining my church choir, but i stopped too because i felt they didn't really take time to explain to me how to read notes and all that. At this moment, i cannot read those score sheet notes at all. So, when i was in the church choir, all i did was to listen to the part that i'm supposed to sing, and then memorize it. It was REALLY hard work to remember a part (which is not the same as remembering the main melody of the song) maybe you could teach me a little how to read those notes?

I sang in my high school choir, and I currently sing in my church choir. I enjoy singing in the choir. We have practice two times a week, Tuesday and Thursday. For the summer, we discontinued practice until after Labor Day. We now sing songs that we know and are not learning anything new. My choir sings on the first Sunday, and the third Sunday, if there are five Sundays in a month, we will sing on that Sunday. Actually, I sing tomorrow. My husband plays the guitar for our chior. He really enjoys it.
