Board Games and Playing them!

My fiance and I have been on a rampage for playing board games. The day before yesterday we played guess who, battleship and the game of life. Then yesterday we played the game of life, monopoly and then clue. It was a lot of fun, and I know that my fiance and I both had fun winning. I told him I was no good at playing battleship, and I honestly thought I was not, but I kept sinking his ships and on the last game he kept avoiding mine. The game of life was fun, but when his mom started to play I got a winning streak, and I have no idea why. My fiance had never played clue the board game, but I had. I loved it, it was really fun. So, have you ever just had a board game rampage before? Who did you play with? How many different games? I hope you have a wonderful and lovely day!

My son and I used to play board and similar games all of the time. Monopoly, Game of Life, Sorry, Go for Broke, Scrabble, Upwords, Payday, Kerplunk, Yahtzee etc. We could spend hours doing so, and having loads of fun. We are both quite competitive so we would get right into the tactics of the games. Quite often we would finish one game and then one of us would offer a challenge for another game. Now he seems to spend all his time out with friends or in on his xbox which is a shame . If I suggest a game I usually get a 'maybe later' but then later he doesn't want to play. When he was little we used to play all the time, which not only was fun but also educational for him too. Unfortunately it is just the two of us living at home now, so unless I invite friends round to play, they are sitting in the drawers in the spare room, feeling neglected. I might have to suggest it again for tonight and see what response I get.

I have heard of all of those games except for "Go for Broke" that one I have not heard of. Could you explain it? It sounds self explanatory, but you never know! I'm sorry your son hasn't been wanting to play games with you, my fiance loves his x-box but when I suggested to play a board game, he said yes and we've been on a rampage, so no x-box for my fiance. I hope that you'll get a good answer out of him today! Does he have a gf? If so, maybe you could ask him to invite her and you could play with the two of them? It's always better with one more player! I appreciate the response, I hope you have a wonderful and equally as lovely day!

Hi The Go for Broke game, works as you are probably thinking. Imagine game of life reversed. The game is fun though as you have like a mini casino that you can try to gamble the money away on too. He doesn't have a gf yet, and all of his friends are more into xbox than board games which doesn't help. I was going to suggest a game tonight, but he is not in the best of moods at the moment. Maybe I should suggest it while I have his attention at the dinner table, before he sneaks back upstairs again.

Oh that game sounds interesting, and since you said it is reversed from the game of life, I may have actually heard more about it then I originally thought. I hope that you got to play a game with your son!

Yeah we have definitely been on a rampage when it comes to board games, guess who was kind of fun,but it got boring fast, battleship was fun too,but you kept sinking my ships, even though I had only played battleship a couple times since I got it,the game of life is a lot of fun too,and you never know what your going to land on,and I know when my mom decided to play you kept getting a winning streak, monopoly was not as much fun as I remembered it to be,but maybe because there was only the two of us playing, and Clue is a lot of fun,and I had never played the board game, but I have read several of the books, and played a Sega and computer version of it,and though there was only the two of us,it was still fun,and hopefully my mom will play it with us today, and there are still other games we have not played yet,I would have to say that this is the first time I have ever had a rampage of board games, but we do need to play them more often,I love you.

You made it seem as if you had played battleship a lot, and I was really surprised when you had said you had never played the board game version. I agree that was the most fun game though, and I think that it should be if it won't be, our first game to play every time we play a game. Maybe we can get your mom to play so that it will be more fun and more difficult for at least one of us because she only has to show one of us the card. I appreciate the response baby, I love you and happy mylotting!

Yeah I know I made it seem like I have played battleship a lot but I have only played it like maybe three times if even that, and that if my mom plays it will be more challenging since she will only have to show one of us a card,if one of us makes a suggestion of who did it,with what, and where,I am always glad to respond to you because you do really good discussions,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with achieving all your mylot goals, and Happy Posting Baby.
