what is your favorite salad and salad dressing? / myLot

mylotter, mimico,mentioned in his response to one of my topic discussion,salads. It made me crave for salads. my favorite salads are: caesar salad-with these only: lettuce,dried bacon bits,cruttons and for dressing-vinaigrette with a dash of olive oil. potato salad with red beets,chicken flakes and mayonnaise. macaronni salad with chickne flakes,chopped carrots,chopped bell peppers and mayo. and our local salads we call ensaladas--different vegetables,boiled, put together with chopped tomatoes,onions and vinegar. fruit salad too and local fruits with young coconut strips salad...YUMMY! happy eating

My favorite salad? I don't know. I like combinations of lettuce, cucumber, tomato... just about anything. I do enjoy some avocado in there too. My favorite dressing is probably a tie between tzatziki sauce and ginger dressing. Tzatziki is a Greek dressing made from yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and maybe a few other things. Possibly sour cream also. Ginger dressing, or the one I always love to have in Japanese restaurants, has an orange color, probably from the carrots in it. I'm assuming it's made of ginger, too. Either way, they're both delicious.
