Do you like J R R Tolkien?

Do you like J R R Tolkien? I think he is the best writer of all times. I like so much "Lord of the rings" trilogy and also "Silmarillon". Here in Romania we have lots of tales, but there is noone to love and collect them. so, we read stories and tales from other countries.

I would have to say that Tolkien's books are some of my favorites. As a freshman in highschool The Hobbit was on the list of books to pick from for required reading. Well I picked it up and have had a life-long love affair with the Fantasy genre ever since and that has been about 40 year. I must say I have read a lot of authors in the genre that I like as well, some even better, but Tolkien will always have a special place in my heart for opening up a world of reading for me

Tolkien is a genius. With very vivid imagination.
I love his works. There are a lot of authors who make him as their inspiration in creating fantasy worlds in their books.
Who knows, there really is a Middle Earth. Hehehe.

I actually at one point did own the LotR books but never ended up reading them...I've HEARD he's a great author but I've never read any of his stuff so I can say myself if I think he is or not obviously LOL

... tolkien is really gifted... you can actually feel what is written in his books... esp. L.O.R. .. I like the part where Frodo is always in struggle every time the rings poisons his mind... it's like me and Frodo are one. you can feel how the darkness envelop his being,...
... which is very good.. as a reader...
...and Tolkien knows how to awaken the emotions of his readers.
... and maybe someday, You guys from Romania can share some of the tales you have in your country...
