Is this normal to men to leave their dirty clothes unattended after changing?

My hubby is always doing this. Not only him, some other men in the house are like that. They just leave their dirty clothes anywhere as if nothing happened. when I told him to put it in the laundry basket he would just say. I'LL DO IT LATER..until he forgets about it. Is this also happening in your house? I am just curious if this is normal for men? I want to hear your story because I heard similar experience from a friend. What about you?

I think most men have this habit. Had experienced it with my brothers before marriage and then later my husband and then my son. The laundry basket usually just has my clothes and the rest are lying all around the house waiting to be picked up by me.

Yes this is habit with all men. I have noticed that the men have not posted in their confessions on this matter here.

Yeah!! now I confirmed that this is normal for men.. I thought, only my hubby is doing this... and all of you testify that men in your house are the same as mine.. therefore I conclude.. that this is a man thing...

This happens everyday in my household Bebs.My husband gets off of work and the first things on the floor are the socks. And then he goes into the bedroom where he removes the rest of his dirty clothes.I tell him everyday to put the clothes in the hamper. But it doesn't get done.So I end up doing it.

I even put a laundry basket next to the bed.And still the clothes end up on the floor.

that's exactly right!!! the socks first then the shirt, pants and the undies. Left it beside the bed. I end up picking all those and put in the laundry basket.

On this subject I think it's normal for most "people" meaning men and women alike to leave clothes lying around. I personally,as a man, don't like my clothes just lying around. I also want them in the laundry so that I can see and know what needs to be washed and when. My wife is pretty close to the same effect. Her downside is leaving dishes lying around. My kids, They leave everything lying around. But I think that's just being a kid and they have to learn somewhere.

my friend, not all women are leaving their clothes anywhere!!! usually women are the ones picking up the clothes men left anywhere in the house and that's the truth. i seldom see men picking up clothes of women scattered around the house for the reason that women are usually the person cleaning the house.

Yes, most men are like that, I know my husband is, he don't put his dirty clothes in the basket, he'll just throw them on the floor, and when I wash I have to go around picking them all up. He'll even take his socks off in the living room when he gets home and leave them on the floor. I think its normal for them, they don't care about anything, they think that their clothes just magically come clean..lol. I don't care if I have to pick his clothes up, even if I told him to put them in the laundry basket they wouldn't make it there, he'd forget. Have a good day

pretty much the same with mu husband. I can find socks around the bed room, under his computer desk, in the bathroom. I don;t understand why men are like that. They don't really care. Only a few times he would put his dirty things in the wash basket. Most often they are found anywhere in the house.

My husband will leave his daily clothes by the side of the bed until the next morning. Then, if it's a normal morning he'll put them in the laundry basket when he gets up. Sometimes, like today, when he's in a hurry because he has to leave for storm duty he'll leave them on the floor and I have to pick them up.

oh yeah, that is what my hubby is doing too. Sometimes he puts his things in the laundry basket but most of the time he leaves it either in the bathroom or bedroom. I have to pick it up and put it in the right place. Now I know, this is a common thing for men.

I think if depends on how they were trained by their parents. I have two men in my house, my hubby and my son but they never do that. But I have lots of friends who have the same case as yours and it is not only their husband but also their kids male and female alike.

Hi Bebs, That is also my husband's attitude..I tried to correct him once but I am tired now..I will just collect it and do it for him...That is when he will take a shower and change his clothes, he will just leave it in our room but when he got home from work, he has the time to throw his sucks and shirt in the basket!

Oh!! that's good that you are taking care of your own laundry. In our house now. I am the in charge of the laundry.. and I am annoyed to see dirty clothes all over the corner.
