haha.. Finally it's been a month that iPhone 3G has been released to US and other countries. Now, it's the pinoy's turn to have iPhone 3G right at their hands. Globe Telecom has announced that it will start to sell the best selling phone in the history at August 23 in both postpaid and prepaid plans. It will be sold for PhP 37599 (8GB)/43799 (16GB) under prepaid plans or you can avail postpaid plans at least PhP 1599 MSF. Would you get that cool phone or not? More details? No way! That is too pricey for a cellphone. and what's with iphone anyway? I would never get it because I am not a technical person, I don't indulge myself with technical stuffs and all. I don't even know what are the features of the phone I am using now.

You're right. It's good to be practical in getting material things.

i'm planning to get one, but still have to confirm if it will work outside of philippines without jailbreaking it.. i'm not sure if it is sim-locked to globe like any other cellphone inside a plan.. also i think the price will go a little lower especially if globe does not reach the sales target set by apple..

I hope so! iPhone 3G was sold at $199 compared to the hefty $599 price of its predecessor. I thought it would be very cheap to own that cool phone but I realized by doing some research that for in order to let it work you must be tied-up in a postpaid plan for a certain time plus you might it get jailbreak if you want to work with it in other networks since apple will try to hook you up even you don't want to.

I have been a Globe subscriber for quite some time now and I would love to have an Iphone but with the price right now, I don't think I'll get it... Knowing how prices of phones change so very quickly... I'll stick with my N95 for now since it's the phone I've wanted since its first launch... If I get good reviews of the Iphone in the future, I might get one... just might...

NO, i don't need that, actually. And i have my own phone which is enough for me. I think only the rich kids will buy that phone. As for me, i would want to spend that money in a small business, in a little shopping and home expenses, etc. I would be practical.

Acquiring an iPhone means you are owning a great device, since it is the IT phone. But getting one also means being the eye of snatchers around there, so be careful...
