I just had henna yesterday in my back and in my leg. It's kinda brownish orangish in color. DO you have any advice how to make it darker and last longer?

I have never heard some one applying henna on their back. But I have applied henna on my palm. First of all after the henna dries, you should put lemon juice on it or sugar water. This helps the coloration. The more the heat in your body the darker it will become. Try to make the drying up of the henna a bit slow. Keep it over night and after you remove it do not put soap for one day.

I too had henna placed on the palm of my hand at my friend's Indian wedding last year. My wife had it done too but all over her hand and forearm. It is amazing how artistic the women who apply it are! As far as I know, the only way to ensure that the henna stain is darker and lasts longer is to leave it on longer before scraping it off! My friends Mother left hers on overnight rather than a couple of hours and it was very dark and lasted for ages after the wedding.
