He makes noise all day snd night. He plays his music loud enough i can hear it in every room in the house. . i did not invite him, and i don't know how he got in. all i know is he won't leave. He is hidding under the frige right now. He is a cricket if you hadn't guessed by now. Any ideas on how to get rid of him ?

Oh My sissy I can see how irritating that must be! I have never had a cricket but we get lots of spiders, moths and daddy long legs - we usually trap them against a wall or floor with a glass jar and slip a piece of paper under so that when we turn the jar over the paper acts as a lid , then we take whatever is in the jar outside and release it. I have no idea if it would work with a cricket but I wish you luck in evicting your uninvited house guest!xxx

Just another though on getting him out from under the fridge - if your vacuum cleaner has a nozzle attatchment just pop a pair of tights or a stocking over the end and put the nozzle under the fridge. The tights will stop the cricket being sucked into the machine but should help draw him out! xxx

that vaccume idea is an excellent one, but alas, the dust bunnies would probably clogg up the vaccume LOL. I dont think the nozzle would fit under there either.

Have you tried vinegar? I find it keeps most bug out of the house. Take a paper towel and put plenty of vinegar on it and let it stay for a while. I hope this works. I never had crickets but I find it works on ants.

Get yourself a frog! That is their favorite side dish! Crickets can be very irritating! But if you get a frog.....he will be no more!

I hope you don't mind if I keep an eye on this discussion. I, too, have crickets under the fridge, and they're much more cheerful than I can cope with at 4:00 AM when I'm eating breakfast!

I would suggest the sticky traps that you can get. Slide it under or behind your refrigerator and you will get him! Good luck!

Snowy Tree Cricket - Snowy Tree Cricket singing
I love Snowy Tree Crickets(green). I don't like Mole Crickets (heavy and brown) Per my knowledge, only Tree crickets can play. My best suggestion is to catch it in ventilated jar, pack in nice space box and mail it overnight to my house. I will stop my night music player and have nature music by cricket. HUGS

Hi Sissygrl! I apologize but it seems this did not make it into my inbox So, I found it here on the site and I see you have gotten some good suggestions of how to get him out from under the fridge and have the possibility of releasing him humanely but if all else fails and you are unable to do this I would just spray under the fridge and then get help and move the fridge out...A good excuse for cleaning under there as well! (Hope it's not as dirty as mine!) Best of luck! ~Heavens~

So sorry I reminded you of your "Dirty Deeds"! I say let them deal with it but it may put a "stain" on your good name! So, perhaps you should just clean it when the bug is dealt with! :) I'm not saying I'm going to clean mine anytime soon though! ~Heavens~ P.S I hope that the bug is toast soon! :)

u r not supposed to stay in the house when u use a fogger. put ur kids and pets in a car, place a fogger on the floor of the center of ur apartment, make sure all windows are closed, turn it on, and leave the apartment..take the kids and pets, and drive somewhere for a couple hours, around 3 or 4, or whatever it says on the box. when u return, go in the apartment first, by ur self, open all windows to ventilate the apartment from the fogger smell to air it out for 30 minutes, then let everyone return inside. it kills the bugs. or just spray Raid under the frig.
