Do you rate?

I, too, have given negatives to people who are particularly rude or insulting to someone in a discussion. I give positives to particularly good responses, especially in topics I started. Sometimes I have a hard time picking a best response so I make sure all the good responses get a plus since only one can get best response. :)

Yeah for the most part I rate everyone with a plus. Like you, if they post something that is totally out of left field they get nothing. I also rate the topics I post to as well. I have given negative ratings, but they are more for when someone is being a troll and just flaming or insulting members, that' just isn't cool to me.

hi there Kat4676! I rate those who respond to my posts with a + unless they give an answer that is totally off-tangent. I would never give a - to someone just because his/her view is totally different from mine. Maybe for responses that are impolite. I also rate interesting discussions with a +. I do rate responses which are good. I rate responses which are not in my discussions also. Rating good discussions are a help to the author of the discussion. We are not supposed to rate negative even if the response is not an agreeing one with our opinion. Negative rating should be given if the response is not to the topic or if it violates the mylot rules like posting referral links and all. happy mylotting.

Yes, I do rate all the time I give comments to the one who responded to my post. Like you, I don't usually give - ratings. I always rate positively. If the response id offensive, I will just leave it blank or if it is really nasty that's the time I give negative rating but that is a rare case. We are here for fun not to make other people sad because of that rating thing. We must make others happy so that we will enjoy our stay here.

i do the same too I only give - if the answer is irrelevant or something that provides referral links. I also give that too those with a lot of discrimination and swearing. SO far I have given most a + rating

well i rated this discussion (-),,heheheh just kidding LOL! +++ OK!,sometimes i rate some people (-) if i see they are trying to make fun of someone problems or saddnes.But 95% of the time i give (+).

same here. I never forget to rate everyone who responded on my discussion. I rate them base on their answers. I mean, if they are out of the topic and misleading me, for sure they'll give a negative rate. and I will inform them that they are misleading me in a nice way. well, nothing personal, I am just doing what I think is right. and of course, I do give positive rates for those who are deserving.

I sometimes rate people but most of the time I usually don't rate someone. I hope you give me a plus one my discussions because I do want to raise my star to an eight.

i don't rate the discussions or comments. i just don't bother. i just more into posting and reading the discussions. that i find interesting.

You just received another "+" I always rate EVERYONE who takes the time to answer my topics. I also rate every participant of any discussion I enter. I cannot say I've never hit the "-" but I can say it was NOT because I disagreed with them!!! Some people's attitude is very negative & I just cannot "+" them for no reason at all. When in doubt as to what they deserve, I will just skip over them; but, I do not skip over many!!!

I do rate honestly, but they haft to have a good post first,more than say five words lol. Other than that I give everyone a plus for at least making an effort at posting in response to what people started.

ME personally I rate everyone with a + i just cant bring myself to rate someone a - I'll feel so bad but i don't rate people who don't respond about the persons queries and instead just type nothing relevant to the question and i also do not rate people who use a significant amount of profanity's or other rude comments.

yes, I rate people who post on my discussions and other people's discussions as well. Especially if it's a really interesting one. I'm like you, I only give out a negative rating if the answer is a no brainer and/or a really nasty comment that has no basis.

Well some body believe or not i can swear about this i mean about my rating.I give rating almost to 98% of discussions or response,even i select best answers also.But i myself get more negative rating,because from last 2 days i got -11 ratings,i dont know what was my fault.Anyways i'm doing my duty very well ,no complain against anybody.Thanks

I do rate every discussion I participate in. I rate the discussion, and every single response. I have never, intentionally given any one a -. I think the only way I would ever give a negative rating is if the poster was just out and out hateful. And, even then, I don't think I would rate them negatively. I might ignore them all together. Or if it was bad enough, I would report them. There is no reason for some of the ugliness I see here some days.
