Working for peanuts

I need a fast track growth and i am ready to put efforts / knowledge in uplifting the responsibilities. All these are, because i want to grow higher socially. I know I am underutilised in company and the earnings not satisfied me to create the wealth to my expectation. So I think i am working for peanuts. Is it really a worth thinking or what should i do !!!!
