Do you still have the tapes or player. I did until about 3 years ago. You know, the stereo with the slide top console that housed an AM/FM radio, 8 Trak player and turn table. I should have left it in the garage. Set it out side the road for pick up with about 4-5 8 tracks. (can't recall who they were).

Yes, I remember 8 tracks! My husband had me buy him a replacement player on eBay recently. Do you remember the plunger style? Yes, I got him a bright yellow plunger style player and some 8 tracks! It really brings us back! I know we have the soundtracks to Grease and Happy Days! Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

How I'd love for them to go to a good home!

I figured it would be someone who would love to be the new parent of an 8 track. LOL. I should have kept mine even if only for the turn table. Too late now. I still have all the albums though.

There's a player in the family room, and next to it are about 150 tapes! What did I think they were good for? I should probably put them in the trash, but they continue to fill their big shelf!

Hey cobrateacher! If you don't want the player anymore or the 8 tracks themselves please don't put them in the trash! My husband and I would love them! And we live near you. So, please if you're going to throw them we will gladly take them off your hands and play them! It's a good way to torture our kids too!

Thanks for the "best". Sometimes I wonder if the old things are too cool to give up, but then I look at how cluttered this house is becoming, and I do want them to go to someone who really wants them!

150 8 track tapes? I don't think I've seen that many in any consignment shop.EVER!(lol) And a player too. Who knows, Craigs list might have a ole school head who still wears the polyester bell-bottoms, popcorn shirt and 3 inch wedge shoes, who would be thrilled to get their hands on them. *I should have thought of that before I dumped mine* I'm awed. Thanks for your reply.

LOL...you telling me. When they first came out they were the equivalent to the modern CD. And they even had a rewind button to repeat your favorite song. *you have to be old school to understand*

We are going to tell our age after a while. Those things were so cool back then. Or, should I say, way back then. Like you say Soyporteno, oh for the good ole days.
