How do I get Naomi to eat healthy food

My Naomi is a starch junkie. She loves noodles and bread and cereal and chips and cookies. About the only meat she will eat is either hotdogs (sometimes) or chicken nuggets. Veggies do not pass her lips. For fruit she pretty much only eats grapes and berries. Sometimes I can get her to drink milk. Sitting her down in front of her food does not work. It will take her an hour or more to take a bite of something she doesn't like, whining all the way, if she will eat it at all. She is probably just about the most stubborn child on the planet when it comes to food. How do I get some healthy food into this child?

ever tell her about bad side about too much junkie food? or did you ever ask her what she want you to cook some for her?

I would think about taking her to the Doctor and getting her Sugar checked. I have heard of this before with children and Diabetes. I hope that everything is ok.

Hm, interesting. She's due for a checkup, so I'll ask.

try searching for jessica seinfeld's book on hidding veggies. She wrote a cook book with different ways and recipes for hiding vegetables in her kids food. They had her on the today show or something like that and everyone was trying the food and said you couldn't even taste the veggies. My kids love veggies with dip. Or since she likes cookies, what about fruit pizza? You spread out sugar cookie dough out and bake it then you make a "sauce" out of cream cheese and i think powdered sugar. Then you top it will tons of fruit. it is really good.

I"m betting she won't eat it but it's worth a try. But the book sounds great!
