I have finally gotten it to work for me!! I finally got all of the ticks worked out of it and I can actually sew on and on without stopping until the thread needs changed. It is an older singer sewing machine and now I can sew my cloth pads that I am starting to sell. you can see them when you go to my profile page and see my homepage link.

i am wanting to buy a new sewing machine soon but they are just so expensive a couple years ago i bought one from walmart it was just a little miniture one that only cost about fifteen dollars i got a little one because i did not have the room for a big one as i am still living with in my parents house i also want to get a dress form so that i can be more proficient at making my own clothes i like using sewing machines because they are faster than hand sewing but i am not very good at operating them my thread always gets tangled

Good for you, I have my mom Singer Sewing Machine an older version, and I cannot figure out how to use it. I also have Kenmore that I spend a lot of time adjusting the bobbin thread which does not make a fun sewing experience.

I used to have a singer treadle machine it was my mothers, I could sew on it but i used to break a lot of needles, I never was a very at sewing, I was always better off with hand sewing, i am glad you got your machine working, i hope you enjoy...

Oh I know that feeling! I just had my older Singer times, and I haven't broken a needle since I've gotten it back. Happy sewing and I hope your shop goes great! Cloth pads are soooo much nice than commercial ones and even better than they're environmentally friendly.
