Hot drinks or eating while reading

I have noticed that most people read books and newspapers while drinking coffee, milk or hot chocolates. Others even read while eating. I asked my grand mom about this and she said she enjoys reading while drinking coffee. According to her,she is more interested is she does that. How about you? Do you do the same?

I can't eat or drink while reading. I have to concentrate well on my reading or I might get lost on where I stopped reading or on what part of the story I was already in...and it feels so much better to read without any distractions because I get to internalize the story better. Food is such a big distraction! haha Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi there. I very rarely read but when I do, I usually have something to drink or munch on by my side just so I don't get too bored. After all, I have the attention span of a goldfish and doing something other than reading strangely makes me pay more attention to what I'm reading. Plus, I love eating and would do it regardless of whatever else I'm doing when hunger strikes so...

Your grand mom is right since it is very interesting if there is a coffee or any drinks that I like while reading. But sometimes I also eat but the food is more on a merienda and not heavy one. The funny thing here while you are adding knowledge to your head you are also nourishing your body with the food you eat or the coffee that you drink.

Oooh, there is nothing better than a cup of hot coffee, cocoa or tea while reading a book. I couldn't tell you why --- it just makes everything seem so much cozier! I especially like to read by a window or fireplace wrapped up in a blanket... anywhere I can curl up all warm and toasty and drink a hot liquid!
