Hey everyone.. If I start reading any book, I will just sit in that for the whole day. I can read any books in the maximum period of 5 days. At the same time I read that with interest. Will read each and every line. How about you??? Some people will like to read books slowly. Which category reader are you?? If you are a slow reader how long will you take to finish a book???

I'm a slow reader, I like to read, I read all the time, but it still takes me awhile to read a whole book. It may take me a couple weeks, maybe longer to read a book, because I pick it up and read it, then I put it down for a day or two, then I pick it up again later. I have a friend that can read a book in two days, I've seen her do it, I couldn't believe it.

I'm not that fond of reading books. Since small i never developed the habit which i regret today. If i sit long hrs reading a book i start getting a headache and start dozing off to sleep sooner or later. My reading speed is moderate neither sow nor too fast. If i start a Novel (Not a big one though) it would take me at least a month at what rate i read lolzzz... I like reading Fiction and Thrillers. I just can't tolerate literature at all. When i start reading a book on literature after the first page the book is closed Hehe..

I read a bit fast now compared before. But I still feel the need to improve it. I've been reading several things nowadays about a topic to improve myself in that field. I want to read faster and finish many books as possible.

I am actually a very fast reader. I even took a course on speed reading so that helped me improve even more. If I start a book I usually finish it within a few hours if I have the time. Stuff I enjoy reading I slow down and take my time but for stuff I have to read I manage to get through very quickly without missing the important stuff.

I am fast reader. I can read a thick novel for at least half day. College books are longer than usual. If i want read carefully, I will do it slower and learn more. Otherwise, I like to read fast because i want grab information fast. TV closed caption helped me to read faster.

I would say I'm a fast reader. I could usually finished a regular novel with say 300-400 pages in a matter of 2-3 hours if I do it non-stop, meaning in one sitting. Since I usually read during my free time like lunch hour or at night, I would usually finished 2-3 books per week. Also, when I read I rarely skipped pages. I read the entire book. Sometimes I get excited and want to know what happen next, that I would scan the book. However, I would still go back and finished reading the book.

I read a lot although I used to read a lot more before I became a member with mylot. I used to read all of the time and very seldom watched TV. But now I sit at the computer when I have some spare time, instead of reading, and just read discussions here in mylot. But I still read before I go to sleep. It is the only thing that helps me to fall asleep at night. I have to get my mind off of the daily stresses and the only way I know to do that is to read. It takes me about a week to read a book now, but it used to take me only two or three days before, to read a book. I will still read before I go to sleep but I won't be reading when I can be here reading and posting and making some money. Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend, Have a good day, Chris

This is solely dependent on the book. If it's a good book then I can read it quite fast and have a hard time putting it down. Sometimes, I even end up staying up too late at night because I'm so into a book. Now, if I'm having a hard time getting into a book, it can take me forever to read it... if I ever finish. It's difficult to read as much as I would like to sometimes though. My husband believes that if you are reading, you should be learning something so reading should not be fiction. One of these days maybe I'll find something for him to read that he will enjoy without having to learn something with it.

Hi there! I love reading books so much since I was a child, even in the dark. =) That's not advisable. I'm a fast reader. If I find any reading material interesting, I really read up to the last page. If I don't have that enough time, I just bring the book so that if I have the free time, I'll just grab the book from my bag and read it.

Well, I already was a very fast reader, but nowadays I'm a very slow one. I explain: I can only read in total and absolute silence. Then, I usually sleep before going to sleep. When I was younger, I was forced to go bed earlier, even if I didn't feel sleepy. It was the rule. Because of that, I had much energy (and time) to read. Nowadays, I go to bed when I want to, and it usually is when it's kinda late and I'm pretty tired. Then, there's no energy to read.. ^^"

For me it depends on if there is something more interesting than reading books. If yes it could take for ages for me to read the book. In the other hand if I got nothing other to do I can read it within 1-2 weeks. But lately I read no books because I spend all my free time here on myLot. I guess this is not very good but I think sooner or later I will return to books again.

With almost 15 years of education spent the just a reading and writing, I can call myself a speed reader for sure. Because the speed at which I finish my complete syllabus just the day before my exam is no match to any other person! Ha ha! Jokes apart I'm a vivid reader and enjoy reading fiction and magazines a lot. So a book of say about 600 to 800 pages takes me a week at most.

I'm a fast reader. If I start a book and really enjoy it I can finish it in a couple of days. I have been know to start and finish a book in a day. When I was on vacation at the beach I starting reading a book that was at the beach house and got very interested in it. I took it down to the beach with me that morning and read the whole time while down on the beach. Then I read more after we had went back and had our showers and all. Then I finished it before we went to bed that night. I love reading and have been reading since I was 4 years old.

i would put myself in a fast reader group too. i can read books quite fast as well. if nothing disturbs me or if i am able to read to my heart's content, i usually finish a book within 3 -5 days maximum too. i am similar to you in that i read with interest and read each line. sometimes i feel as if i'm just skimming the lines but i notice that i read all the lines.
