Who is the Boss in your home?

Glad that you opened that up. When i read your discussion, I remember about my husband. When he teases me, he always told me that "your the boss". I always reacted about it. I don't want to be called the boss because for me, there's no boss in the house there's always an equal rights. I told him not to say it again, but everytime I suggested something he alsways said yes and always say the line "your the boss". That's why when I read your topic, i can remember him and misses him. Wow, reminds me of Jon&Kate plus 8. He also always gives in in order to avoid trouble, lol. All I can say, if you give in all the time and bite your lips in order to avoid arguments you are bound to explode eventually and then it will get really ugly. Your friend should be worried. He gave the first indication of being frustrated and upset. Lol, my husband would never let me treat him like that nor do I always bite my lips just to avoid an argument. It's called a relationship not servitute, lol.

In my home we try to make it equal on both sides of the discussion. Sometimes She is the boss and othertimes I am. But for the most part we share equally in the process.

I do not appreciate such kind of behavior because I do not want to be the ruler or to be the boss of my home. I do not want to deprive the rights of my husband as I respect him. The home shall be ruled by the Ruler that is the husband in an appropriate, just and impartial manner for the benefits and the welfare of the marriage and the entire family as well while the wife is his comforter, adviser and supporter in every legitimate and appropriate decision that the husband may proposed. A healthy and happy home shall not be dominated by an outrageous behavior by any of the spouses but it shall be dominated by love and respect which are among of the essential elements of marriage.

No my husband would never be a chicken either, he's the boss around here in most things..lol. If I say something about being the boss, he'll say Okay, I'll stay home and you can go to work...lol. I have an aunt thats the boss in her house, what she says goes, I think my uncle just goes along with it, because he don't want to start an argument, he's the one that does all the working anyway, she doesn't do anything, but I couldn't be like that myself.

i am not married, and at home, the boss is my mom. hehe

Ha!ha!ha! It will make most wives laugh because they can identify themselves with your lady friend. You know dear many wives have the tendency to be dominating and their husbands out of love would just let their wives do that way. Well, once the husband gets to the limit and has gets fed up then that is the time the dominating wife will wake up. You know dear, I also sometimes have the tendency to be dominating because sometimes I'd forget that I am no longer in the office. But you know it's a good thing that I could easily sense once my husband is offended already and it is so easy for me to say, "Sorry dear, I forgot I have to submit to the King of my heart." So the situation will get to lighten again. The husband is the leader and he should be respected as such. On the other hand while he is the King, I am his queen and I get all his love and care. Would it not be a wonderful home to live if all men and women would know the right postions they have in the family?

Generally speaking we have an equal relationship! But I respect him a lot and there are times that I will accept his opinion and decision over my own. I have a voice and I have my own opinions, which he of course respects also. But in the end I do consider him to be the boss!
