My Dad said he heard an interview on the radio where the man was discussing (with a woman) how very young her skin looked..he asked her what was the secret?...she told him she put CRISCO on her face all her life!!! Have you ever heard this before??

Crisco is a vegetable oil used in cooking..or making fried chicken and such:) The oil also, comes in solid form.

No, It does not sound odd...I did read where some folks do use olive oil instead of the Crisco...so that was smart thinking on your part!!

Yes I've heard of it. My Mom puts it on her face to soften it. She is 74 and looks like she is in her 50's. My Grandmother also used it and when she passed at the age of 84 she also looked 20/25 years younger. I confess I have not used it. I started using pure vitamin E oil on my face when I was 16. I am now 51 and still pass for my eldest daughter's sister. So I'm sure that I will continue with the vitamin E oil. Oh and as an after-thought... my Mom also uses Preperation H on her face. :-0 I'm sorry I just can't go there. lmao

WOW! She give enw meaning to what we used to say in High school, some girls use lipsticks, some use cream, but I can beat them all by using margarine...won't be surprised if she is telling the truth...and I know plenty women will try it out after hearing about it

Another beauty secret revealed. i guess I am going to have to try this one. It's alot cheaper thatn some of the creams, lotions and potions that people buy all in the name of beauty. I think I have some in the cupboard right now. I may go ahead and give it a whirl and see what happens. I really will wear it if I can.

Actually, yes I have. My grandmother did the same thing. Her skin was so beautiful. I remember asking her how she done it, and she told me Crisco. =) She passed away over 20 years ago at a very young 65. I have never used it, although I think it is time I start.

No, but people have been doing all kinds of weird things and put worse in their face in hope to keep the face looking young or to have it reverse to looking young. I can't imaging how that Crisco stuff could be good for the face, but hey, if it works for her, lol.
