I have been told by many of my friends and colleagues that cellphones are very important in case of emergency. I too have the same idea. But oops..I have never faced any emergency situation till date..Have you ever been in any emergency situation wherein your cellphone was very useful to you? You might have got stuck up in a lift, got missed in an unknown area, lost your credit card while shopping or anything..Have you ever been in a situation like this and your cellphone helped you a lot to escape from it?

Cellphone is the best friend for helping us when we are missed or lost..Good that you were able to trace her address by enquiring her .

Hey smilyn Yes indeed I have seen many of my relatives and friends they treated the cell phone as Most important in their day-to-day life. I have also experienced. In one occasion I was coming from a long distance in the night by driving my car. Every thing was fine suddenly my car stopped near highway dense forest . I tried my level best to start the car but it was in vain. Timing was about 9.30 PM in the night.I was so puzzled I was not able to think what to do as if the vehicle is not started then I will have to spent whole night within the car in the dense forest. On the other hand I can not leave my car to the lonely place for calling mechanic. But thanks to cell phone I immediately contacted one of my friend and explained him about the situation, he advised me that one of his close associate is having garage and the distance from his garage to the b/down spot near about 5to 7 kms. He also given me a phone number. I immediately contacted the garage personnel and explained them and also requested them to help in the crisis. On hearing the problem they sent two persons in a bike and it was nothing but a minor fault. They repaired the same and started the vehicle. Really in emergency situation cell phone works like life saver. pkc3000

That is interesting.Really cellphones would be at the first hand for help in situation like yours. You can contact friends for help, or for getting any information when you are in need. Just imaging how it would be if you did not have a cellphone at that time. .Though you would be managing the situation in someother way, it would have made you feel tensed..So thanks to the cellphone for making our life bit simpler and comfortable..

I was on the highway one day and I come across my cousin and her car broke down on side of the road, I stopped we lifted the hood and saw flames, she didn't have any minuets on her phone so she used mines to call the emergency services, fire department and police responded.

quite interesting..Good that you were there for her help. .But just see your cousin had a cellphone and it could not help her when she was in an emergency. This incident teaches a lesson too .It is always better to have the cellphone balance recharged.Otherwise, even if you had a cellphone the phone could be of no use. Thank God you were there..and your cellphone had been a great help to her..

Yup indeed cell phones come in very handy i case of emergencies. In my county there were floods and i got stuck up outside and could not get back home. My parents were every worried about me as to where i am..whether i'm ok..etc Luckily i had a cell phone so i could get in touch with them and tell them i'm safe and sound. No need to panic or worry about anything. Now days frankly speaking a cell phone is become like e necessity. I'm sure most of you'll would agree with this. Leave aside emergency there are many instances when cell phones come in very helpful. and if we got to see in the world todays everyone almost roams about with a cell phone.

The trouble is most of the times I have actually been in a tight spot, I have had issues with reception and bad network....:P, especially on forest trails and treks. Though I can distinctly remember my cellphone being damn useful when I got a flat tire on the highway.
