I am lucky. I have a very average size shoe....either 8 or 8 1/2 depending on the style. My oldest sister though is tall and her shoe size is a 12 AAA...and in Minneapolis/St.Paul there are only two stores where she can buy shoes that fit her. So what size do you wear? Average or something unusual?

I wear a 7/12 to 81/2 depending on brand of shoe. And how much weight I have gained or lost. Tell your sister to try Rigedale. or the MOA. Plus she can try Downtown Minneapolis. They have more then two I belive. I will ask my Niece she knows of place's a she is friends with some of the Links the basetball team. There is a place on lakestreet in south Minneapolis. Almost by the old sear's building. They have shoes for most everyone. Has been there forever I forget the name. But we had to go there for my sister all the time. try DS shoes. at the MOA or out in Maplegrove. Have a good day

I wear an 8 1/2 but my foot is very narrow. Have always had problems getting shoes to fit my feet. I was born with an extra bone on the instep of each foot but had one removed therefore one foot is wider than the other because of the bone that remains. Makes it even harder to get shoes that fit well.
I bet your sister had a horrible time when younger trying to find a triple A. I know I sure did when I was a kid.

Big feet for my family I guess.
Most the males in my family are a 9 1/2 and or 10.
I also wear wide sizes.

I wear a quite average size 9 B. My size is so average and common that when shoes go on sale I can't find them because they have already been snagged by other shoppers who wear my same size.
Sigh...

I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 also. It is usually more like an 8 1/2 because I've found as i ahve gotten older that my feet have spread a bit. It's kind of like the rest of me lol. Anyway, I would not want to have unusual size feet either because I think it would be hard to find shoes in the size that you want. I think you would have to pay more for them also.

Hey jill, looks like you and I are close in shoe size. I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 depending on the style.
I just have to ask. How tall is your sister if she wears a size 12 shoe?

I actually wear a 6 1/2 or 7 depending on the shoe and brand. So I guess I have kinda small feet lol. I didn't have to ever worry about my daughters or sister trying to borrow my shoes though lol. Even my s/o's 14 year old daughter wears bigger shoes than I do lol

I have found some bargains, and I've even found some cute shoes in the kids section, since depending on the style or brand, I can wear a size 4 children's shoe, lol. Which really upsets my daughters lol

Oh how I wish I could just go into a store or even shop online and buy me a pair of shoes but I can't. My left foot is a size 9 and the right a size 8 so it is hard getting any to fit. When I was young I hurt my left foot and I guess something grew back wrong for it to be that much bigger.

I wear a size 10 shoe. You cannot fine to many nice shoes in that size here. I feel sorry for your sister having all that trouble finding shoes to. Yes I do wish they would make more larger shoes and more styles for the ones that need the larger shoes.

I wear a size six but sometimes it may go up to six and a half depending on the way the shoe is made. That's why I don't really have a hard time looking for nice shoes to fit. teehee. Plus, I can actually borrow shoes from my sister since we have the same shoe size... That's like a load off my pocket especially if I need shoes for a one time event only.

i used to wear a size 7 until i had my oldest daughter and had my feet swell up due to edema (because of the pregnancy) so now i wear a size 8, but my youngest daughter's friends (a few of them anyways) are wearing ladies size 8 and 9 - so i cannot imagine how their feet will look when they get to be older!

It's weird you are asking this question, jillhill. That's because, recently, when I was shopping for shoes, I couldn't find any shoes to fit me. They all hurt my feet. I had been wearing 7 1/2s for the last couple of years, before that, it was 7s for several years, and before that, it was 6 1/2s.
Anyhoo, I decided to try on some 8s and, lo and behold, they fit! I felt like an idiot that I didn't just automatically think to go up a 1/2 size. It's just that I never dreamed I would wear 8s, which seem kind of big to me. And my weight is down, so it just didn't seem right.
So, I wear 8s and they feel great (am I a poet???)!

I have very small feet, I wear a 5. This translates into being able to also wear some kid sizes, and my Doc Martens are a boys' size 3. Mens shoes are bigger than womens. My feet are also narrow, but I haven't had to buy anything special as far as that goes.
My husband on the other hand has wide feet and he wears like a size 12. Our daughter's feet are cute but they are not small, she is 4 and a half and wearing a size 9/10. A few months ago I was buying her 8s. My feet grew very slowly, I don't recall even getting out of kid sizes until I was at least 12.
