Do u eat birds?

My friend asked me a question today.
She asked me weather I would eat birds.
" Of course not! They are very lovely and kind, how come I eat a bird?" I said!
" Then, why did u eat chicken", She asked.
I rendered speachless at the time.
I don't know how to answer it.
Sure chicken is kind of bird!
However, in my opinion, chicken was born to be food!
Do u think birds should not be eaten, or it is all right to eat a bird?

Chickens and turkeys are birds. Prairie chickens, wild turkeys, ducks and quail are all hunted for sport and (I hope) for food as well in this part of the country. The only difference that I see is that commercially grown chickens and turkeys can be obtained more easily and at much less expense than their wild counterpart.

Also, the population of chickens, turkeys and ducks is much larger!

Hello.. I do eat birds.. In Malaysia, you can get it easily get birds from restaurant or any food court. Its taste just like chicken.. So I think it is right to be eaten. But we don't eat all type of bird. Just certain bird we can eat. For example crow. We cannot eat that bird. It is disgust..

In my hometown, crow is a bird of ill omen.
Thus, no one has the audacity to eat it.
Haha, they don't eat crow too.

hi hiddenwing...as you said chickens are meant to be eaten. and their eggs as well. other birds are to be watched and appreciated. and chickens are to be appreciated for their contribution to giving us protein.
