LOL!...I did last night, I was working hard trying to reach my goal for this month and just have a meal and few biscuits while working so,when hubby got home after work, he invited me to have a dinner in a Japanese restaurant! It was a buffet so, I was grabbing a lot of food and I hurt myself, LOL! I was beyond full and it was not good!

Hi Checapricorn, I haven't tried but yes I have done it in the past at a Mongolian restaurant where you could just keep going up and helping yourself. Well I had never experienced the food before and it was all so delicious I had to keep going back and refilling my bowl with something new to try. I was completely stuffed by the time I left but a very enjoyable evening was had. YUMMMMM hut TUMMMMMM. LOL Ellie :D

Hahaha, as usual teh, Ive tried it few times... I hurt myself too but my only cure for that once my tummy starts hurting is to lie down flat and try to fall asleep. After I wake up, its gone. Lol. Don't do it more often coz it's not that good for our body. Heheh Olympics right now is so great, very nice presentations.

When we were first married, we lived in a flat downstairs from our 'best man' (groomsman?) and his wife. We decided we would cook Christmas lunch between us - I have never eaten so much in my life (before or after). Our plates were piled high and none of us wanted to leave anything. I remember crying as we did the dishes because I felt so full. Then we had to walk round to my in-laws house supposedly for 'tea'. My mother-in-law had made sandwiches, sausage rolls, mince pies and cream, Christmas cake... and neither of us could eat a single thing!!!

I used to do that at buffets, but I am trying to be good now, when we go. It did not take long to put on thirty or forty pounds, but it is taking me forever to take them off. It hurts to overeat, and then we are sluggish and only want to sleep. I bet you do not do that again.

While I am able to eat a lot of food. I have never eaten until my tummy hurt. If I were to do that, then food would no longer be enjoyable. What is the point of eating a big delicious meal only to have my tummy start hurting after? I know how much I can eat before I get full, and I stick to that amount. Same with drinking. I know how much I can drink before I start to feel it, and when I know I have reached my limit, I quit drinking for the day.

Buffets are evil, too much food and temptation, hard not to stuff yourself. Atleast you got your moneys worth there. I have had this happen before but not in a long time.

Rarely because I never seem to have a big enough appetite but the odd time this has happened when I really enjoy what was made . Apparently I did this when I was younger though with junk food and my mother had to take the treats from me when I actaully got sick from it and then went back for more because I liked it so much :)

Hi dear ]well what u remind me it was school life and particularly Hostel life u Know at that age every stupid thing can be expected Well in our hostel at public school, and we used to have fix time for every meal in Canteen and it was not more than 20-25 mins, so used to rush and eat. But On Sunday morning it was running breakfast between 8-9 am, so u can come and eat anytime u like. so one fine morning of winters few friends go to have Breakfast and have bet to se as who eat more. so we end up eating like anything and eat too much that we were full till nose ( not to talk about tummy) LOL. the winer ate almost 15 slice, 5 eggs, 11 cups of tea, i was # 3 and dont ask the count Take care

I remember a game we used to play with my cousins and friends..it's a card game where the consequence is either to paint a soot or charcoal on someone's face and sometimes, the consequence is to drink a cup of water. I drank too much water i can hear my the water swishing in my stomach each time i move :)

Yes Checapricorn, sometimes the food is so delicious that though I get full but still want to eat more because of its taste and tend to eat more than appetite. Later on when the stomach bloats then I repent.

hello che, that's not good, BUT fact is you enjoy the meal so i cant blame you. i had one experience last december when we are in Illinois, my husband and i love this place and the thing is we can only dine in there a few days of our stay so on our last night there, i ate like crazy, i used to eat the whole sandwich and the pasta (YEAH i can eat that much LOL) but for some reason that night i ate 2 sandwich and a plate and a half of pasta i was like way too surprise to find out i am capable of eating that much, yikes! so when we reach our hotel, i feel so sick and boy i throw up like crazy (sorry...) i think everything i ate was gone coz of that coz after awhile i feel like my tummy is so empty. my husband was so concerned but when i start laughing at myself he starts laughing too coz he thinks i am a nut to eat that much when i know i couldnt handle it. i told him it was too great to resist... we dont have that yummy stuff at home so i have to take advantage of it. it's worth it though LOL on our way back home we bought a few sandwiches hoping we can bring it home but we are munching it like little kids eating cotton candy our dog is in love with their sandwich too haha. there you go, im sure it will happen again as we plan to go there by november. sometimes we think it is worth driving 15hrs just to have those meal and then go back home... hahaha! good night!

Hi jair, wow! driving 15 hours? that's an adventure! LOL! It's nice to explore in life a lot of times..LOL! ANyway, I'm not sure if I will do it again but when I was eating there, i felt good and satisfied and when I got home, gosh, I felt so restless! I can't cook good so everything there taste great to me..LOL! ANyway, at least I have learned from it and enjoy as well..lol! thanks for sharing and enjoy!

yeah, we're that strange specially if the place is really worth the drive LOL i am happy that my man loves to travel and adventure, unlike others whose adventure is to go to bar and or watch sports on tv haha! LOL, i wonder what is a not good cook is? do you cook at home or you guys often dine out or your hubby do it most of the time? just wonder. yeah, it is true that if the food you often eat is so bland once you go to a place where there is much better food everything will taste great. i know exactly what it is like coz we have the same thing when we are in china. we often travel an hour or so to go to the main city to eat in american restaurant (outback and hardrock cafe) once a week - usually weekend coz the food seems to be often the same. i cooked often but it is hard to find the right ingredients and we have to ask dad to send us packages of the ones we need and it is just a pain in the As$. anyway, the great thing is you enjoy and you learned... just hope before you do it again you remember what it is like afterwards - i know i will when we go to IL. again but i will still do it, i will try it in moderation though - if i could haha!

lol...hi...checapricorn...you know sometimes it happens like that even though you didn't have that intention to eat too many..i meant coincidentally you got a situation where you got to eat so like suppose ,you came back home from work after having some burgers or hotdogs nearby the office & then you met your old friend on the way and she/ he oblige you to have some fastfood with her/him ,finally when you reach home your wife or children prepares a special dish or yours..by then your tummy nearly burst...lol.....or a situation that you're in a good mood & have a big appetite on that day....don't worry they are common...lol...take care...

I have done that, but not from trying. I have over eaten way too many times but not on purpose but because the food tastes sooo good or because I can't seem to fill up and then all of a sudden I am too full and my tummy hurts and all I want to do is get rid of some of it. So I don't do it too often as I am not very comfortable afterwards. I am also trying to lose some more weight and that would not acccomplish it.

You remind me one time when we were invited to friends' party and not only one friend, several of them. I was a member of a choral group and we were hired to sing in some occasions. It happened that there were 3 or 4 party hosts at one time.. Oh!! my goodness. Food are all good and most of us eat a lot in the first and second house when re reach the 3rd house we started to make excuses when the plates are distributed. Some hide inside the vehicle, some went anywhere because they don;t want to eat anymore and in order not to offend the hosts, my companions hide or went away. We already hurting our stomach a lot and we don;t want to add more. It's hard to breath anymore. That was my first and last time to abuse myself with food. It's not a good feeling. I don't want to die of gluttony.
