Mylot payouts not fair as I see it

I sure wish someone could explain the payout on Mylot, cause somehow I don't think I'm being paid like I should, yes we probably been through this before, yesterday I started 2 or 3 good discussions, plus I responded to at least 20 discussions and I get 25 cents for it. The other day I seen a person on here said he made 8 discussions and responded to about 20 discussions and he made nearly $2.00, well I decided to do the same and what did I get about 34 cents, so there is something wrong somewhere, I was trying to make payout and someone said that it would take 72 cents a day, guess I won't make it again this time, I feel if they going to pay they should pay fair to all, it one does 8 and responds to 20 and makes nearly $2.00 then the next one that does the same should get the same pay.

Hi Bdugas, It may be that they received a lot more responses on each of their discussions and replied back to each response and then got another comment back from that. It is also the amount of text that is typed that makes a difference. It may aslo be that your eranings will be carried over and given tomorrow as I don't know for sure what the cut off time is. It is fair and the same for everyone but I can see why you would feel it isn't so. I would just say, keep posting, keep responding and keep having fun and the money will become automatic. Try to type at least four lines on each response. Ellie :D

I know we never used to but I was in a discussion the other day and a lot of the older members where saying that you seem to but by responding it is not only polite but does encourage more responses so if you don't by doing this in a way you do. I'm not 100% sure though. You used to get paid on a discussion once i had got two responses which I think still stands but mine with a 100 responses I got paid $1.60 for. Also each time someone responds or you respond it takes your discussion to the top of the discussions my friends started page keeping it fresh and encouraging more responses. You also get paid for giving a best response also. Ellie :D

I have never since I have been here responded to 10 discussions a day and got paid $2.00 . Now I did respond to 100 in a day and I almost made a dollar the next day. Mylot pays 1 cents a respose as far as I know. Now discussions I am not really sure about. Of course it all depends on the quality of the responses also.

Yeah I got a lot of responses myself from a post I stared yesterday. So I agree it does work both ways from repling and starting discussions

hi bdugas, it seems that there is no clear guidelines how money is exactly earned on my lot. Many my lotters have suggested to start discussions, respond to discussions, upload photos, rate discussions but no one was able to say how much you are going to earn at the end of the day. In the meantime I wish you luck and keep posting.

You are not the only one that feels this way; being confused over how they work the payment is pretty common. I just came back to this site, and apparently the money I made was gone. But, that's another problem and another discussion. It just seems like you do so much and get so little, and another person does so little and get they get a lot. They need a balance. If your post, you get a certain amount, and so forth. It just seems unbalanced. Just another mystery on the world wide web.

I guess the only method of trying to get to grips with the payment criteria is trial and error, make a mental or written note what you did the day before i.e how many discussions you started, how many responses you made etc. and the next day see how much you've earned, that way you can see what says and what doesn't, although i agree, some kind of guide from myLot would be helpful but untill then it looks like we're on our own

Listen, if you will read the instructions in mylot you will see that thay say they are paying not only by the amount of posts or replies but also for the quality of the discussion and the ammount of responses you get for every discussions you made. they have a program that is checking spelling and so on. happy mylotting.

Wow! I had no idea they had a program that checked spelling. That is intense! And pretty nice. Doing their part to make sure people are rewarded for checking spelling is a good thing. Also makes me glad I use Firefox, as it has a built in spellchecker. Makes me have to do almost no work. Thanks for the heads up on that!

I don't understand it either. I am still learning and it seems as though I am not getting anywhere. I would like to know what the pay is based on too.

They won't tell you, that is not fair to all of us. I like you not matter what I do only get pennies a day then others brag just like I said of making $20, $30. a month. I was told that we do not get paid for responding to comments people make to your discussins, now I got one who says she does, so do we or do we not. See no one knows what is going on here so it is not hard to think that somewhere we are not all being treated the same. Like I said not here to get rich just to be treated the same as the rest. Hey maybe I am, I get just a few cents a day too. If I was getting paid for responding to comments made in my discussions I would answer them all.

Well this happened to me once too..i wrote Mylot & told them how i felt about it & lo & behold my pay went up.maybe it was an over site or maybe it will show up the next day..They use to have how many hours you had left to reply or open discussions but now they don't so maybe it will show up on the next day, thats what happened to me anyway...

i really dont know how they pay us and i understand your point.. well honestly, i dont keep track of my payments, i mean, i would look at the changes and wish to get qualified for a payout every month but dont give so much attention to it. i want it here because i am able to express how i feel and have great fun responding to my friends discussions. and if i dont earn good after a day of responding to friends discussions, then i just do better the next day, nothing much of a big deal, what i keep in mind is that we dont set the rules, so better have fun and enjoy!

I guess we will never know how the earnings really work. Maybe they are keeping it a secret so that we keep guessing and continue to generate interest in that. I has definitely increased the number of mylot population.

I think the difference is that a good discussion in one persons opinion is not a good discussion in the eyes of another person. When it comes to discussions you get paid per amount of good replied, so whether you think your discussion is good or not makes little difference, it is all about the quality of the replies. I hope that this discussion makes you a lot of quality replies.

Hello Bdugas, there are persons here who will brag about their payments which is sometimes a lie. You can make money here if you have lengthy responses and discussions or download pictures. I used to make over $1 a day when I respond to 80 discussions. I hardly post discussions because I will only can four responses. If the discussions is a rage one then it goes to 20 and more discussions. I don't like to rant and rage so I detest writing those. So instead of posting I respond. Try and wrote four or more lines and then you will see the outcome of your hard work. Also try and respond to persons who make a comment into your discussions. Kerry

I am not totally sure but I think I read some where on MyLot, whether it be someone elses opinion or straight from MyLot(IDK), that they rate you on the quality of your post along with quantity. Now I can't imagine who decides the quality of all posts but that might be a reason. I personally have never earned more than 34 cents in a day, I think.

No doubt and i hope that doesnt happen to me because i would be so upset it would actually take to long just to make the pay out which isnt een much how much or how long do they expect you to do this

It depend on the quality of the eight and the twenty... Also, you get more money responding people in your own discussions than you do responding to others it seems! It is confusing and I don't have it all figured out but I have figured this much out! ~Heavens~

I can see your point and I've thought about this many times. The thing is if mylot gave away their payout system in any detail, think about all the queries they would get from people who don't understand or who are trying to beat the system. So the best thing is to do it as they do. Just don't give out the details.
